Has WSU not released notes for this game? Can't find them anywhere and the newest media guide I can find online is from a year ago.

Our SID sucks. Game notes are released late all of the time. At least 3-4 times this year they weren't released until the day of the game. CSU just played a game yesterday and they already have notes for our game tomorrow. We have not played since Saturday and our notes still aren't out. Pathetic.

We need to do better within the department at doing the 'little things' right and putting up a more professional front. We are absolutely miles ahead of some other programs but there is always room for improvement. Back to basketball,I think Wednesday could go either way, classic HL basketball. But if we are hitting more shots than in the UMW game, and play defense like the guys know how, we come out with a 10-14 point win. Hoping for better officiating, and letting the guys play!!

Needless to say I'd like to see Dixon and Young start as they appear to have more scoring potential, plus Young, while only playing 186 minutes prior to last night, leads the team in rebounding. We would round out the starting 5 with Reggie, Darling, and Yoho, who leads the team in FG% at .537, just ahead of Young, and 3-point %. Plus he is also shooting over 70% from the line. I like other players, but they can come off the bench to spell these five. Having Young only playing 15 minutes a game is leaving too much production on the bench. Personally, I would also like to see Dixon and Young in the starting line up. Dixon has been a pleasant surprise for this Raider team on the offensive end. I think he is the best on the team at getting to the rim and creating a shot or getting to the free throw line (which this team seems to have trouble doing). I see no reason for Kendall Griffin to start over Dixon when he gives us close to zero production offensively. But BD believes in playing hard nosed defense and limiting possesions and griffin is supposedly our best defender. I also think Young should start over Vest. The rebounding, especially offensively, that Young provides would be very important. I see this team being out rebounded in many HL games the rest of the season of Young doesnt start playing more. The 8 minutes he got against Green Bay really dumbfounded me. But BD doesnt seem to value offensive rebounding too much and would rather his team fall back and not get beat on a fastbreak. At this point in Yoho's career, I see him as a 3 point specialist who should see more minutes only in games that aren't going our pace and we need to keep up with the opposing teams high scoring. Sledge must start. He is the only person on the team that can defend a good opposing post player. Pacher is just clumsy. So I believe it should round out as Reggie, Dixon, Darling, Young, Sledge. Do I think this will happen? Probably not with how much Donlon values defensive stoppers, slowing the game down, and limiting possessions. But jut food for thought.

Bleed, I have to agree with you on most fronts here. I think you are right, and I have said it multiple times how much Kendall is a non-contributor on the offensive front. I think people think I hate him or something, but he just seems lost on offense. Miles and Jerran give us a little more excitement to the game for sure. Several times this season I have looked at my father-in-law, and we are both like, this game is SOOO boring. It's when we get into our lackluster offense and don't score, and when our suffocating defense that brings opponents to their knees sometimes. But it's still boring. It doesn't bring out people in droves to see this time play. Jerran Young has had a few hilight worthy dunks this year, and creates a lot of second opportunities for this team, and that's going to be HUGE in league play where, like previously mentioned, we are going to have some issues winning the battle of the boards. Yoho- clutch from 3...Use him when we need him I guess, reminds me of the clutchness of Troy Tabler. Valuable asset when we need a big 3.
Regardless- this should be a very interesting game. We have seen some signs of brilliance from this team, and we have seen some downright terrible play (1st half of Milwaukee anyone?)...CSU has the same issue. They bounced back to win a tilt against UIC this week, but have lost some early games this season by pretty big margins. First game for students being back on campus really, and it's our last home game for like 2 weeks, and there is a huge pre-game party in McLin, so I expect the Nutt House to be rockin' tonight!!

Free throws and getting to the line I feel will continue to be the key for this team especially in close conference games.
WSU is 8-0 when we shoot 20 or more free throws but only 2-4 when we shoot fewer than 20.

Call me Pessimist McGee, but I just am not confident in us pulling off a W tonight. Our ice-cold offense has been a near-constant throughout the season, something that we just can't shake. I'm not saying that Cleveland State is an offensive monster, but with us having to rely on the hope/off-chance that calls will be thrown our way and getting to the FT line as our only savior (unless it's Sledge), I'm expecting another slow, grinding, low-scoring defensive-minded game per usual. But still....GO RAIDERS

But still....GO RAIDERS While I too am expecting a slow paced game, CSU is near the bottom of scoring defense in the league at nearly 70ppg while we're far and away the best team in the HL only allowing 55ppg. Our defense is far and away better than CSU's and I feel that will be the difference tonight.

I hate to say it, but I highly doubt that. As a student, I know that the majority of WSU students just don't generally care about Raider basketball. Alot of that has to do with us being a Commuter school. The only time we ever got a lot of students to come was the Butler game... And we won't get that kind of student turnout again until another rivalry starts with a HL team. And I don't see that happening for awhile. I have a friend that plays basketball for D2 powerhouse University of Findlay and they constantly get more students at games than WSU. Private school, not even close to same enrollment.. But students must Live on campus first two years.

I'm the biggest WSU fan I know at this school (shrug) and I barely heard about this pre-game party. That RaiderUpRewards.com site has been pretty effective IMO.

I would like to make two points:
First- a whopping 81 people have RSVP'd to the event tonight on Facebook....so I think that means at least the lower bowl section should be filled up? (I know right??)
Second- Interesting to note that in every game CSU has lost this season, their opp has hit at least 70 points. I know we probably won't put up that kind of number...but boy would it be nice to see the WSU team that put up 92 on VMI earlier this season.
This is the last game of the home stand, we have three tough road matches coming up...You know BD knows this, and the players know it. Even though it's early this is a pretty key game for league standings. CSU doesn't want to drop to 1-2 in league play, and they sure don't want us to be 3-0. I think all of this will lead to aggressive play, which, you would hope, would favor us at home. As long as we aren't taking stupid 3's and not getting to the stripe. Feed it inside, make them foul. Like previously mentioned, we will win the game at the stripe.
