Why would Crean be pleading for Holman to stay if Holman is a "nut case"? Oh wait, I just got the answer... Holman was his starting center. Your argument doesn't hold water. Try using some facts next time. Holman played in 6 games last year for a whopping grand total of 45 minutes. He definitely didn't start for IU and wasn't even one of the first FIVE players off the bench for them. iuhoosiers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2007-2008/teamcume.htmlHe is a head case. He got suspended for a year in high school for pushing a ref. He had to attend anger management counseling for a year, so yes he's even been diagnosed a head case. While at IU, he was suspended for getting into a fight with their former head coach at practice and had to physically be removed from their practice facility. The police had to escort him out of Crean's office after he got violent when he asked for his release. He is a time bomb waiting to go off. Crean never pleaded with him to stay. He asked him to reconsider leaving and he did that before the head case throw a potted plant across the room resulting in the police being called. IU is down to THREE returning scholarship players from last season and one of those is a former walk-on. Crean asked him to stay out of pure desperation, plain and simple.

He's a total head case. I'm glad Brownell doesn't recruit clowns like that.

Holman is a bigger nut case than Brandon Cotton. He'll end up embarrassing Detroit before his eligibility is up. I completely agree.

Don't have a hissie fit. Everyone knows that Holman did not start last year. He was injured and missed 3/4 of the season. Holman would have started this year. I know because I live in Indiana and have followed Hoosier basketball like a religion. Crean was not going to give Holman out of his committment and Holman went ballistic. You have no clue what you are talking about. Holman was not going to start last year. Before he got hurt, he wasn't in IU's top 10 rotation, so you are clueless if you think he would have eventually started. My brother in law works in IU athletics. I have first hand knowledge of Holman's run ins with the coaching staff so I have quite a bit more than a clue to what I'm talking about. (if you don't believe that, Big D, Wolf, or WSU97 can confirm that since they have gone to IU games with me and met him).

I can't believe there is a Raider fan defending this head case. I would be appalled if WSU signed him. I understand Blitz's comment about Detroit fans being happy. When your program is that far down, you are willing to grasp at straws and pray for the best to happen. I'm glad we aren't in that situation.

No one said that "Holman was not going to start last year. " You are a bigger nut case than Eli Holman. At least Eli can comprehend the English language. Fact is Crean was not going to release Holman because Eli was slated for the starting center position. If you think I believe your story about your brother-in-law, then you really are a nut case. Well you are a complete idiot then because I have been to IU with fastbreak and have met his brother in law. He has been in administration at IU for at least 10 years because I make a trip to IU every year with him to watch IU play OSU with my 2 sons. You should know what the hell you are talking about before you go off on someone on this board. We are also all glad you are an IU fan first and only follow WSU for Duggins, that means we only need to put up with your dumb ass for 2 more years.

I'm an IU fan first and foremost and I don't appreciate the silly comments about Eli and Ray Mc. I'm a WSU fan because of Vaughn. I'll leave it at that. Then go to an IU board asshole!

Take a hint. No one wants you here. Not a single person has taken your side of this argument. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

He works in marketing for the athletic dept. Fastbreak knows what he is talking about and he has built up some credibility on this board. I'll take what he has to say over some IU asshole posting on a WSU message board.

Great guy, even if he does work for IU.

Even Vaughn Duggins thinks "raiderfanatic44" is a raging douchebag. By the way, enjoy 11th place in the Big 10 this year. Gotta go, Kelvin Sampson is calling me again. That was really funny. I like your sense of humor. We will win national championships while Bevis and Butthead are messing around on this message board. Hey butthead, Eli is twice the the man you are. He can tell his grandchildren he played for the greatest university of all time. We can only hope that head case realizes how important his 45 minutes of playing time was to the history of IU athletics.

raiderfanatic44 is either bubbabean from RRB or a Butler troll trying to stir up trouble. Just ignore him.
