i think butler may well have played themselves into one of the top 2 or 3 bball conferences in the country if this comes to pass.

I really regret all this conference shuffling we've had over the past year or two. I wish the schools would belong to a conference that makes geographic sense which also may trenalate into other shared values. I worry that with Butler gone that we could lose one or more of Valpo, UDM, and Loyola. I could also see us losing Cleveland State.

Now that the Big East 7 have formally announced they are forming a new league, it will be interesting to see what this new development will have on the HL's expansion plan. If Butler, Xavier, Saint Louis, & Dayton all leave the A-10, and Creighton leaves the MVC for this new league, I forsee all kinds of flux in all 3 of these leagues.
