The Sunday game between WSU and Detroit scheduled for January 5th will start at NOON ( instead of 2pm ). Go Lady Raiders!

Ween I looked at Oakland's record and stats last nigh I was not too concerned, but after watching them I was very impressed. We'll have a tough game when we visit Oakland.

I personally enjoy watching the women play more than the men. Not just because they are winning but they have more excitement in their game.

The way the women are playing I would not be surprised if they get a lot more fan support if they keep winning games.

I would hope that we are actively looking for girls basketball teams of all ages to attend our games. I also would like to see more WSU students at the games when they return to school next week.

Exactly. That's Athletic Promotions 101. ...or maybe like 251. Get the youth teams out, have them play a scrimmage at halftime or get a quick recognition or something. I caught a little bit of the last game on the HLN and saw some girls in warmups sitting court side. I imagine that was the situation there. Unfortunately it's tough to get a crowd to a ladies' game unless you're a top calliber team like a UCONN or Duke. There's not much of a middle ground in women's attendance.

BigD, the women are playing at a higher level and more entertaining game than the men, right now. I wii be there for both games on Sunday. It doesn't matter. It's women's basketball. We could have a perennial NCAA tournament team like Green Bay and the Dayton community would not support them. That isn't meant as an insult against our women's team. It's just the reality of the situation. UD's women's team is a lot better than Wright State's. They have been ranked nationally on and off over the years and their attendance is comparable to a junior high school basketball team.

I didn't say anything about attendance. Just they are playing a better and more entertaining game.

The paper and wsuraiders, com have a time change for the women's game, they will play Cleveland State at 4 instead of 4:30 ( to make sure that the guys will be ready to begin at 7 ). For those that attend Billy's coach's show at Fricker's...this week wsuraiders.com has Bradbury scheduled from 5:30 to 6.
