That was a huge win for the women last night. I was really concerned about playing YSU on their court. I'm looking forward to their final home game this Saturday.
I went to the Nutter last night to see the women's semi-final games of the HS regional. As you may know I also got to see some exciting history being made, as Kelsey Mitchell of Princeton set a Nutter Ctr. scoring record by getting 50 points against Fairmont. As I watched the game I couldn't avoid comparing her style of play to WSU's Kim Demmings. She was flat out, go get 'em, non-stop for 40 minutes. The only difference between the two players was that I felt Mitchell is probably the better shooter. I thought that WSU would love to have her next year, but she has already committed to Ohio State.
The second best player of the night was Westbeld from Fairmont, who scored 28 and played a very good game.

WSU scored 101 against Valpo today and KC Elkins had a career high of 37 points as the women finished the season at 23-8. Nice win ladies. WSU will host a game at 7PM Wednesday night.

I am a little surprised our coach did not get coach of the year for our second place finish.

I am a little surprised our coach did not get coach of the year for our second place finish. Due to his behavior on the sideline and foul mouth, he is very much not liked by the rest of the HL. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was dead last in voting.

Raider Alumni, have you gone to any of the women's games this year? I think Coach Bradbury has toned it down this year, amazing how a successful team can have that effect. I don't have problems with how coaches act but, it does make sense for some to have closed practices for that reason. I'd also prefer that parents aren't afraid to bring kids to Wright State games. Ladies host a game on Wednesday night. Congrats to the ones honored by the HL.

That doesn't change the opinion of most other coaches and fans from the rest of the HL. They think he is a foul mouth bully. Toning it down one season doesn't erase the opinion they formed of him over the last few years.

I guess that is fair Raider Alumni but, if I had a vote ( and I don't ) it wouldn't prevent me from voting for someone I think was worthy. I don't have a problem with the Green Bay coach winning it but, Bradbury did great with a 6 ft forward and 4 guards for a 2nd place finish. I went back to the 1st page and see that the Lady Raiders were picked 2nd and Kim was projected to be POY but, it has been a very nice year overall.

Hey, Wardle still received it for the Men, despite what an ass he reportedly is. Granted his actions aren't public. Congrats to our three award winners, the ladies are having a great year!!
