This would be a smart move for WSU. WSU has been moving away from the notion that we are a commuter school for quite some time. We need to continue to expand and improve campus housing.

I work for ORS and they let us (Ra's) know a few months ago they were thinking about it. Glad to see it moving forward. I think with the recent crime in the Campus Village apartments having ORS take over it will do it some good. What's more is that Campus Village would be owned by WSU instead of AM Management. As of right now only Hamilton Hall and Forest Lane (which is being torn down soon) are owned by WSU. AM owns Honors, College Park, University Park, The Village, and the 9 buildings of the Woods and ORS actually makes very little from those buildings. So this is all new revenue for residence services and campus life in general should this happen.

I lived in The Woods for 2 years and then College Park for 1. Any idea why they are tearing down Forest Lane?

Forest Lane is very old, cramped, and outdated. I remember my dad lived in Forest Lane back in the 70s and it hasn't been updated much.

Plumbing problems reported at sold out Nutter Center concert www.whiotv.com/news/news/local/plumbing-problems-reported-sold-out-nutter-center-/nLZ8y/I don't know that fixing the toilets in the Nutter Center is part of the Master Plan but this is too ridiculous not to post. UD Arena hosts the President of the United States and British Prime Minister to the NCAA First Four and the Nutter Center toilets overflow causing flooding in the hallways and people "relieving" themselves on the outdoor patio. Awesome. That's not exactly helping our perception any.

A university that includes and promotes athletics in its master plan? What a concept. (We didn't in 2008)

It's worth seeing in person. It's impressive.
