I've got to quit eating dinner at 10pm but, that's when I got home from a high school event...so, what can you do? I'm not unhappy with the overall schedule. I like the Horizon League, even without Butler ( although look forward to the announcement of what I expect to be additions and thought it might come sooner rather than later ). The home portion of the non-conference is weak and the way it has been handled by WSU concerning the fans has been awful ( imagine asking our help becuase they've done such a poor job...probably will blame us if attendance doesn't increase ). As for WONE, I don't listen and I don't care...the times Dan Patrick is on is usually by watching FoxSports Ohio.

I think we have to look at our schedule while understanding that we were ranked 225 at the end of last season and that we have team with 7 new players if we count Steven Davis. With that ranking and a 7/13 new team I can understand having a softer schedule. My only disappointment is playing MSJ instead of another D-I team or a good D-II team.
We open at Idaho, who was ranked 146 last season. We play UC, ranked 43rd. We also play Morehead and BG, both of which were ranked ahead of us last season. And then we have the HL season and Bracket Buster game.
The rest of the season is softer than I would like, but so be it. It gives this young team a chance to develop and learn. I will still be at the games and rooting for the Raiders. And next year I will hope for a better schedule and maybe even try to spread some of these teams out over the next two seasons if we can so we can enhance next year's schedule.

I've been going to games for as long as I can remember with my parents who work at WSU and am now a sophomore here...have to say after Brownell my expectations for these years were much better, assuming we'd kep going in the right direction, with high hopes for Donlon. Although this schedule sucks especially following last year's it gives our young team a chance to mold, and I'll still show up all year and maybe travel some. This has to be Billy's last year though if we don't put together 20 wins...be real...20 wins these days is nothing special, respectable I'd say in the HL. Looking forward to seeing some athletes on the floor and hope to God we let them play to their maximum potential.
