If he wants to go make $ and play in Europe, ok whatever - you got your degree, fine. But he's already been at a BCS school and quite frankly didn't put up very impressive numbers against the competition. Do you really need to play at 3 different schools in your 4 years on the court? I guess I just don't understand the mindset...

Def among the most f'd up of the ncaa bylaws. It's a complete loophole and needs re-written. +1

Julius Mays told CBSSports that he has committed to Kentucky. Has one year left and can play ASAP.

I hope this is the last time I have to see his name on this board again.

I really don't get why Mays would have transferred to UK if he has hopes of playing pro ball. I don't see him being anything but a role player on that team. He isn't going to be the focus of their offense like he was here. He will get more exposure to scouts, but I don't see that helping him if he doesn't put up big numbers. You would have thought he would have figured that our watching Brandon Wood do the same thing last year when he left Valpo for Mich St. He went from averaging 17 points for Valpo to 8 for Mich St. You would think he had a better chance getting an overseas contract playing for Valpo and being the focus of their team.

Class of '83, that roster has been up for awhile ( probably after Spring Quarter or possibly at the start of Summer sessions ). Guess we know Collie will be added ( I believe he is already enrolled ) so, that would get us to 13 with 2 walk-ons. I think another could be added if they can get enrolled.

Based on what I have seen in articles and quotes from recruits, I still think we will have a full roster next year. First, the link to next year's roster says developmental at the bottom of the roster. www.wsuraiders.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=27000&SPID=92415&SPSID=630833Second, in the WSU press release for the signing of Drummond and Bramanti it said "Donlon indicated he expects additional signings in the near future." www.wsuraiders.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27000&ATCLID=205428648Third, Deondre Ray was set to sign with WSU. He said as much on twitter. Then all of a sudden he signed with a JUCO and told his friends on twitter that when he tried to commit to WSU that he waited too long and WSU didn't have a scholarship left for him. Lastly, when Grant Evans committed to WSU last week it said that he was going to help recruit kids in the 2014 class with him. It said Donlon told him he planned to bring in a 5 man class in 2014.www.thestarpress.com/article/20120630/HSSPORTS/306290026/Grant-Evans-picks-Wright-State?odyssey=nav|headBased on all of those statements I think we will have a full roster next year. If Donlon expects to sign a 5 man class in 2014, we need 5 Juniors on our roster next year. We currently have 3: Vest, Pacher, and Darling. I believe Young is still headed to WSU. He would make #4 in that class. WSU cannot announce he is part of the class until he enrolls at WSU since he didn't sign a LOI. Drummond and Roddy are due on campus the weekend of July 14/15 to start the next session of summer classes. I expect Young to join them then. Based on the above points, I think we will be adding another JUCO at the same time.

Nice job of piecing this together & nice analysis. I hope you are right about the judo situation with Young & adding 1 more. Any idea who the other judo might be? Would love an athletic power fwd. That would blend with what appears to be a smaller more athletic roster of wing players. Still hoping that Sledge can develop in to a true power forward type. Roddy seems to play that roll but is only 6'5"...if that's not a stretch. We probably don't need a big man if we are adding players that know judo.

gmoore, I have no idea who that last recruit could be. Based on the fact that we are having to wait until July to find out who he is leads me to believe he is someone that probably had to take an extra class or 2 this summer before he was eligible to transfer to WSU. I just hope he is worth giving a scholarship to. I don't want to waste a scholarship on a late signee just to sign someone. I want to add a player that can step in and help this team next year.
