He is a solid signing for us. If we are lucky we will be able to red-shirt him and put some weight on him over the next year.

Meyer looks like he has some size and sledge will be bigger next year. So maybe red shirting him might be good.

Question....even with this, are we done recruiting another big man? I know on the face of it, that it would seem so, and this seems to point towards someone leaving. But If history is any guide for most college programs (and especially here with Donlon), we could have 2 or ore transfers, meaning another available 'ship. If we do redshirt this guy, I'd still think we (ideally) could use one more big with experience, or someone physically ready to step right in. That Polish center recruit Nowicki looks like he could do that, plus he has some international basketball tourney experience. I know we have Meyer and R. Davis, but both will be young and inexperienced. Regardless, assuming this latest recruit redshirts and S. Davis stays, we'd still have more height than typical (four guys 6'7 and up), but just very raw.

Interesting that we just now find out about this after all the speculation we've raised the last few weeks.

if this is true, why wasn't it announced last summer. Seems very odd.

His contract maybe was incentive laiden with extra years kicking in if we made the league championship? Not sure it would make sense because we would have heard of such a contract last year.
