It's time to give coach a 5 year extension. It's Raider Nation time!

This game proves that we are starting AND playing the wrong guys. I won't name names, but I bet several board members would agree. I don't think the line up is the issue. I think the problem has been style of play. We don't have good outside shooters that you need to be successful in a slow it up offense. We do have a lot of good athletes that can run though. If we would have played uptempo, I think we would have won all of our games except for 2-3 so far this year.

That come back to playing a more aggressive offense along with the aggressive defense made a big difference. Now to continue with an aggressive offense to go with the defense. GO RAIDERS

To finish in the top three of the HL this year, we need to win at least half the road games and hold at home. I think we can do that by at least earning a split on this two-game road trip. The other very winnable ones are at UIC, Oakland, and I think we can take either CSU or YSU.
On tonight, I hate to see JT get hurt and not playing, but even though he would have knocked down a couple 3's, could you imagine him guarding any of their bigs? Makes me shudder...
To me, the bigger surprise is not that we played well going up-tempo...we knew we had the guys to do it when allowed. It was that we played so well on D even without Kendall and Vest. Despite their shortcomings offensively, they are good defenders in our conference.

I want to see them play that aggressive offense for the entire game. We scored more with the fast paced game than any game before. We were short handed and still able to run and not tire out. I think Cole needs to play himself back into the starting line up.

I recently moved to Hangzhou, China for work for the next 2 years, so I didn't get to watch the game (luckily I can still get HLN over here though)--Nothing like waking up to a RAIDER win!! Nice job boys. Let's get UIC!!!

First off, we loved the new road uniforms. Good choice.
Reggie played a great, all round game last night.
We only had 4 TOs last night, which really was a key to our win.
The stats weren't that good for either team. We shot 35% vs their 32%. That is ugly. We were more successful from the 3 pt. line, shooting 43% to their 27%. We shot 86% from the line to their 67%. We both had 35 boards. But a win is a win and I'm thrilled to have it. See you all on Sunday for the doubleheader.

I was impressed with Valpo's size last night, so I checked their roster versus those who had court time. They had starters at 6'8" and 6'10". Coming off the bench was a 6'7", a 6'10", and a 7 footer. They had size as well as bulk. My memory is not good, but I don't recall any string beans on their squad.

Last night victory is going to impress some people. The announcers were talking about three starters out with injuries and we were the underdog. Then we play a great game. Reggie did play his best all around game. He was more under control. He used his quickness not just speed. If he uses quickness and change of pace he will score and get assists. I think Cole is so concerned about his shoulder he isn't focusing on his shots when he is inside especially.

Just watched the game again on espn3. Two things stuck out that haven't been mentioned here. 1.we can't defend a pick and roll. If we make it to the postseason and face a team who likes to dunk underneath, it could be rough. 2. I'd like to see a shot chart from this game. We had some great looks when we drove the lane that just rimmed out off the glass. Those will fall in other games. If we stick with this formula - and keep in mind nothing says we will - the conference schedule could turn out a little closer to our preseason expectations.

For me the stat of the game was Reggie with 6 assists and only 1 turnover. That's what I want to see from a point guard. Keep it up Reggie!
