Milwaukee gets Villanova. I think that's the best match up for them being a 15 seed.

Haven't seen any of Nova this season. I don't get why they do the play in games at 11 and 12 seeds? To guarantee low major champs get lower seeds?

Green Bay left out. Horizon League gets no respect. WSU's weak OOC schedule and their poor results in these games killed the Horizon Leagues RPI and was probably the deciding factor in Green Bay and Georgetown being on the outside looking in. Donlon needs to schedule more road games against teams from the top 7 conferences. Win or lose playing against better teams will improve WSU's RPI and make the team tougher for Horizon League play.

Past selection committees have said that teams stand on their own regardless of conference. I doubt WSU's OOC schedule was a factor in whether or not Green Bay won a game. You might have better luck convincing WSU to schedule better if you tried a different approach. We have been a 3 seed in league play and managed to play for the tourney championship each of the past 2 seasons. You can argue that we need to finish the job but, can't do much better to get there. Top 7 conferences need to come to the Nutter Center ( what are the odds? ). Win or lose? Does the coach have a 10 year contract? We can get to an OOC SOS of 150 or so without playing teams from those conferences but, I'm confident we'll continue to schedule some ( we did play Georgetown and DePaul this season ).

Hats off to the other local team. Some raider fans don't like them but they have figured out how to schedule some good teams (power conference teams) and then beat them. If we can figure those two things out maybe we can get an invite to the real post season.

Keith, I'll have to take your word for it since I couldn't tell you who that other team played ( not having watched any of their games ). We played Georgetown and DePaul and, I expect we'll continue to schedule a few games from those types of conferences. So, maybe we'll only have to figure out one of those points. Uptempo says we ( HL ) get no respect so, our goal will still be best served with an automatic slot. What is a real post season? Won't we have refs or something?

I think the only way we are going to make the NCAA is to win the conference tourney but it would be nice to get a 8 seed instead of a 16. On the other hand if the Horizon League would up the standards on scheduling maybe our RPI's would be higher and it would have helped Green Bay.
