I went with a B. The only real problem I have with the schedule this year is the 2 D2 games. Otherwise, I think it is pretty solid.

C. We could have had Duke at home and I would still go with a C because of the 2 non D1 games. We are D1. Play an all D1 schedule.

I wish the schedule was as nice as the new uniforms.

I went with a C. The schedule is better than last year's schedule, but that isn't saying much.

I don't love the schedule, but I will be at all of the games. I am looking forward to seeing all of the new guys.

I went with a C. It's a middle of the pack schedule compared to the rest of the HL.
Here are the SOS ranks for all HL schedules with average opponents' RPI from last year: 1. Oakland 84.9 2. Green Bay 130.4 3. Detroit 145.8 4. Cleveland State 160.5 5. Wright State 168.8 6. Milwaukee 169.9 7. Valparaiso 170.9 8. UIC 190.8 9. Youngstown State 231.6
Every team also has two non-DI opponents, except for YSU and Valpo, which have 3.

B. It's a solid schedule minus the ND1 games.

C. The administration needs to give the schedule the due diligence it deserves in the future and finalize it before late September. One non D1 opponent per season max.

The D2 D3 crap is really frustrating. Every year we complain about the amount of filler we seem to have to come up with...
Why is it so difficult to schedule other middle of the pack mid major teams for home and home series. You'd think playing MAC, MVC or OVC h/h series wouldn't be that difficult to do...Let's be real...there's only a select few teams that are going to get an at-large bid out of mid major conference...so why not all team up and produce better schedules for all college basketball fans.
There's no reason why we don't play a few respectful local teams year in and year out. Rotate them...OU, Indiana St., Murray St., are just a few of the possibilities.

Every team also has two non-DI opponents, except for YSU and Valpo, which have 3. Given this info - I will give the schedule a B. Clearly the league is advising or at the very least not discouraging the memeber schools from scheduling D2 or D3 games. It's hard to fault just WSU when every other school in the league is going to run a simialr schedule.
