I only caught the last 10 minutes or so, but it sounds like there was great contribution all around. Like I said earlier, it's great to have KG back on the court, and making an impact. Can't comment on much else, but that has to give the team, and our fan base, a much needed boost after all the stupid negativity we had to deal with this off-season.

The seniors played as they should and we got some nice contribution from Thomasson and S Davis.

Kaufman for Findlay had 13 at he half, then Kendall guarded him at the beginning of the 2nd half and shut him down. That was key.

Glad to see a win, even against a DII team. A few things I noticed:
1) Reggie played good on offense in the second half, but his defense was off. #10 beat him off the dribble multiple occasions. With all the minutes he's going to play, they'll need better D out of him. 2) When this team gets a lead with 5 minutes or less, expect to see BD go with JT, Reggie, Hop, and Joe T. Good combination of ball handling, FT shooting, and a couple guys that can knock down 3's and a couple slashers that can drive and finish. Tonight, it was Stephen Davis instead of JT at the end. Obviously giving up size, but there are still benefits to those 4 being out at the same time. 3) Roderick Davis will be a contributor this year, but you can tell he is a Freshman big and he hasn't played against this type of size and competition and speed ever. 4) The other freshman had some good moments for sure, and I think that by the mid-point of the year, our bench will be a solid one. 5) Karena has a nice touch on his shot. I think he's going to have a good year and he's a good pick-up. 6) They were hot early, and we were off and careless with the ball, which led to that early 11 point lead. After that, we outscored them 20 the rest of the way. I'll take that against Findlay and with a team this young and inexperienced playing with each other.

How come Mark Howell did not seethe floor? BD still set on him being the guard from that class that gets ran off?

Mark Howell was in street clothes. I'm assuming he did not play because of his under age drinking incident this past summer.

Mark Howell was in street clothes. I'm assuming he did not play because of his under age drinking incident this past summer. Mark and JT were both suspended last night for their off season arrests. Donlon wouldn't comment on how long they are suspended for. I took that as a sign that neither will be suiting up for the Belmont game either.

Before the game last night I thought we might absorb another beating at the hands of Findlay. Then I looked at my program and saw they only had 4 upper classmen. Sooo, maybe we have a chance.
The first half was prety much all Findlay. At halftime they were shooting 24% better than us from the floor, 27% better from the arc, and out rebounding us. The second half reversed all of that. Great game by the Raiders with 4 guys in double digits. Right now my starters would be S. Davis, Reggie, Karena, Griffin, Hopkins, Yoho, and Thomasson. I know that is seven guys, but I figure Donlon can select his 5 of the 7 game by game. I really look forward to seeing the freshmen getting game experience and feeling comfortable with the lighting and crowd.
I certaintly hope the crowd turns out for the Belmont game. Year in and year out they turn out quality teams. This game will be comparable to our games with Butler, and we all know how great those games were.

He was what I expected as a former JC player, as was Karena. If they produce for us as I think they might we can have a successful season...if the seniors also succeed at their own games. I don't think, at this moment that we'll be in the top 3 teams at the end of the season, but we could be fourth. To be third or higher we really need to see an outstanding season from several of our players. So cross your fingers.
