Sounds like it was a great game to watch. I was traveling from Birmingham, Al to Atlanta, Ga. My grand daughter is playing in an exposure softball tournament. College coaches and scout will be here to see girls they may want to recruit.

I know Wright State had a recruit in for softball tonight ( glad they got to see a little crossover help from men's basketball ).

Great way to kick off the season tonight. Hopefully we will get some of those fans to return to some more games this year.

Poor Kendall. No reports on how long/whether he'll be out, but what a nasty situation for such a hard worker. Guy must have a magnet in his head for blunt objects. Would hate to see him have to stop playing, but I'm sure we'd all rather see him be safe.

Poor kid puts in hours and hours of work, seems like a class act, and just keeps taking it to the head. Hopefully it's nothing, and he can rest Sunday and be alright going forward.

Last night's win was even more impressive when you consider we did it without JT.

Just watched the replay of the game online. Benzinger plays some damn good basketball. Although his shooting percentage wasn't the best, I can't remember any shots he took that were "bad." Probably just nerves. Karena is a beast! That is a solid group of young players all the way around. Let's see where Donlon can take them.

Just a couple of comments about last night's game. I like Hopkins' athleticism but not his concentration. He has too many unnecessary turnovers. Not that there are any necessary turnovers. Benzinger exhibits more 'floor generalship' than I've ever seen from a freshman. He doesn't mind directing traffic on offensive possessions. It will be interesting to see how that plays out over the course of the season. Both Davis's have strong potential. Both are very serious on court and as long as they don't get down on themselves if they have a bad game they will get stronger as the season goes along. S. Davis looked like he was ready for the rope when he missed the two free throws late in the game last night. Then he followed it up with a nice play on the subsequent possession. Karena is the real deal. He reminds me a little of what Vitaly was like as a freshman. I don't think he'll wind up as complete as Vitaly was but he'll be very important to us the next two years. Reggie is still sneaky. You wonder where he is and the next time he's open he gets a three, He's turned into a smart player. He's always been a confident player. Overall, I think we might be a surprise to a few teams. we really don't have a good idea of what the rest of the conference is going to be like. Early injuries can turn the league upside down, but I think we have a better shot at the league championship than we are being given. It will be very interesting to see how the young ones play at the holiday tournament.

Twitter confirms a 5th concussion for Kendall Griffin. Wow. Poor kid. I thought he'd only had three prior to this. Did he have one before last season?
