All I have to say about this season to date is that Donlon's idea of up tempo and my idea of up tempo are very very different.

Also the definition of offensive rebound is something your opponent gets. I wonder if the people who criticized me last year about complaining about BD's style of coaching still feel that way. I want to see the Raiders win. But we have to put an exciting game of basketball on the court to get the fans back.

It isn't about Sledge being a great player or marginal player. It is about Sledge being able to give us depth inside. Did you watch any of our games last year? Did you notice we were barely above .500 to start the season when Sledge was suspended and we ended up finishing the year 21-15? Sledge made us a better team because he gave us depth and some bulk inside. We didn't have to worry about keeping AJ out of foul trouble when Sledge came back. We didn't have to put 6-6 Yoho in a center when AJ got into foul trouble. Everyone got to play less minutes and stay fresher/healthier. It is all about having depth. Sledge wasn't going to be an All HL player for us this year, but he was going to be able to give us 15-20 minutes a game in the post and at least be able to play good defense and rebound for us. Every time Karena came out of the game last night, FIU pounded the ball inside and took advantage of their size. They wouldn't have been able to do that if we would have had Sledge. Yes I watched most of the games last year or listened on the radio. I agree that Sledge would give the team additional depth inside, but that isn't saying much. Last year Sledge played 12.5 minutes a game, averaged 3.5 boards and 2.5 points. My point was that even though the loss of Sledge hurt the team, it is Donlon's inability to recruit big men that caused this problem. The team loses Pacher, Darling and Young and replaced them with Karena. This team was undersized last year, this year they are so undersized that it is a joke, even with Sledge this team was going to get killed on the boards game in and game out. Karena is a good addition, but we needed 3 or 4 Karena's to give this team a chance to have a good team.

Raiders up by 6. Donlon must have given one heck of a half time speech to wake them up this half.

How do we get three or four more Yohos?
I say we use the Tom Hanks money to invest in a cloning research program. Without having the rules in front of me, I think it only counts as one player on the scholarship count if they have identical DNA.
