I'm watching the Oakland/Cleveland St. game right now. I swear one of these days Kampe is going to have a heart attack on the court.

Well the key to beating CSU is obviously trying to limit Charlie Lee...he dropped 25 on us at our place last season. But in the Horizon League tournament, we were able to limit him to only 16, and CSU didn't have anyone else step up in his absence. We also may have trouble with Trey Lewis who shoots nearly 50% from behind the arc.
CSU is in sole possession of first place at 3-0 in conference after wins against 3 of the league bottom feeders (Milwaukee, @uic, Oakland). Our only common opponent is BGSU, CSU lost @ BG by 10. One other note, CSU has a tough match-up at the ARC against Valpo on Saturday (ESPN3), while Yoho and the rest of the squad have all week to prepare and get healthy. Would be great to have the entire team healthy, and ready to play. Hopefully with a good game plan, maybe we can catch CSU at a good time. Would be nice to give the team in sole possession of first place their first conference loss. It's definitely going to be an athletic, competitive game.

I've officiated soccer for over 10 years...I would have sent him packing the minute he opened his mouth. I think the official was getting a kick out of it.

Yeah, it was obvious he wanted the technical, but the ref wasn't going to bite.

Stephen Davis went through warm ups at YSU. I think he will be ready for the CSU game.

Interesting to see how the CSU @ Valpo game goes tonight. I'll be watching, and will give a debrief. Guess we can home for a hard, physical, triple overtime battle =]

CSU/Valpo game just went final. Valpo led almost the whole game, and ended up winning by only 2. Home teams move to 11-2 in conference play. The ARC was rocking with a nice student presence. Something we need to try to replicate on Wednesday.
CSU was very predictable, almost everything ran through Charlie Lee and Anton Grady (33 combined points) and it forced them to play a tough 40 minutes of basketball. CSU hung in the entire game, running tight with Valpo, preventing anything substantial that would put them out of the game. Valpo won by keeping the best 3-point shooting team in the league to only 28% behind the line. However, CSU forced 19 Valpo turnovers...something we don't have the offensive firepower to deal with on Tuesday. Nobody fouled out, and the game was pretty clean.
Both teams should be in this 100%, and nobody should miss the game for either team (as of now). CSU is sitting atop the league, and are trying to distance themselves from the pack.

Hoping for a big crowd and a win Wednesday night. That would move us into the top 25 Mid Major poll. Hoping BD has figured this team out. He needs to be the main cheer leader and teacher. Let the assistants talk about the mistakes and bad plays to the players.

The mid major poll is hogwash. The only reason we're not on it is because of our pathetic showing in the usc upstate tournament. We beat Belmont twice and they are still in the top half or so. That poll has little to no regard around the country. Even so, it would be nice to be on it again.

Woah JB, no need to attack me !...but that game meant nothing. Nobody expected us to be competitive in that game. I wouldn't hold losses to nationally ranked power conference teams against a team like Wright State...but you don't see my name in the pool of voters.

09, you are correct we aren't in the top 25 because of those two losses in SC. I don't think the loss to OSU affects our ranking as much as the two losses to teams we should have beat. The game we won should have been a game we might loses.i said might not should lose. When I was at Oklahoma, the quickest way to the bench or off the team was not believing you could win every game. These players and coaches should have a we can win attitude no matter who they are playing against. I and others remember 12/31/1999 a Raider win over Michigan State who went on to win the National Championship. So it can be done. That is why we play. You don't practice to just be a back up. You practice hard to get more PT. You work hard to win the games others think you will lose. Winning isn't everything but it feels better than losing. GO RAIDERS
