Quick turnaround. A lot of this road trip is going to rely on our ability to get back Yoho and or Davis. J.J. told me we should hear something about Yoho soon. We obviously owe some pay-back to Milwaukee, but it seems year in and year out, this is always a tough game. We are 1-13 at Milwaukee since 2000. You're welcome for digging that up.

Yoyo is out for three weeks or more. Our success will depend on BD to make the needed changes in his offensive and defensive schemes to match the players he has available. Use our strengths and minimize our weaknesses.

So, at best case, Yoho is back to start the 3 game home stand starting against UIC on 2/12...which puts him back for 5 games plus the league tournament. (We're obviously in no position to play in post-season play).
I don't think putting Yoho on the court in 3 weeks, and have him playing at maybe 75% is a good idea...If this road swing goes the way I think it's going to go, I'm not sure we should bring Yoho back this season...the last thing we want is a more serious injury to befall our team. If we were in the running for the 1-2 seeds, maybe it is worth it...I'm just not sure that's a risk we should take if he's not able to be fully rested and able to be the J.T. Yoho we all know he can be. Just my .02

The medical team won't let him come back sooner than he should. My take is this season is not as important as next seasons opportunity. I hate this for the seniors but it is what it is. Hopefully reworking our offense and defense and hard work from the players and coaches we can salvage more than people would expect.

Sure would be nice to break this losing streak, and start this road stretch on a good note. Milwaukee has a great ability to distribute points, and anybody can step up at any given time. Tiby has given us fits throughout his career, and is always a threat to pop a 3 without notice. However, Milwaukee doesn't have the 2 guys who sank our post-season run last year (Kyle Kelm & Jordan Aaron). Milwaukee also shot a ridiculous 50% from behind the arc, and cleaned house on the offensive boards.
Should be an interesting game, we've seen Matt Tiby enough to know his strengths/weaknesses, but Milwaukee goes deep at the 4 and 5, and we really don't. We have to keep Karena out of foul trouble, and not be forced into digging into our bench.
Like I said in the opener, we are 1-13 in Milwaukee since 2000...at some point, you'd think that has to turn around. But I don't see it happening tonight.

If there was ever an appropriate time for Billyball it will be now with our depleted line-up with Yoho and Davis out and only 2 big men on the roster. I would think the coach would milk the clock with every possession while looking for a 3-point shot or mid-range jump shot while also hoping for foul shots. Except for Karena's short jump hook, I think most of our inside shots will be slapped back into our faces. I suspect Milwaukee has at least 9 big men and will dominate inside ala Valpo. I expect we'll play a lot of zone tonight to try to avoid fouls.

Don't know if it will happen but I'd like to see a lot of drive and dish tonight with freshman guards. Evans has a really pretty jumper and we already know what Benzinger can do. Mitchell has proven to be a nice slasher as is Hopkins and Reggie. If we're not going to run more screens for the shooters I'd love to see our dribble-drive guards opening up some shots against a collapsing defense. We need to be getting them open looks like we did for Troy Tabler

I don't know why UWM is fighting so hard to keep the Bucks from demolishing their arena. It doesn't even look like they have 1000 fans there tonight. They have to be losing major money renting that place out.

Oh shit. Kendall Griffin is hurt and it looks like he hit his head hard diving for that loose ball.
