Interesting notes about possible match-ups:
-Detroit and Cleveland State split their regular season match ups, each escaping at home. Detroit won by 1; CSU by 4 -Green Bay just clobbered Oakland by 20 to end the season, but the Grizzlies escaped by 3 at home. -Oakland swept WSU and UIC, but I would assume wouldn't want to face healthy Raider squad for a third time. -If the bracket holds true, it is interesting to note that Green Bay and Valpo split on the season, Valpo won at home by 4, GB by 1. However, Valpo's largest lead in those 2 games was 15, Green Bay's was just 4. The two teams played a very tight pair of games.

If the last three years is any guide, HL tourney won't have a 1-2 match-up. Of those other teams, I'd put money on CSU to bust thru only because I think Waters is that good of a coach and their defense is outstanding.

I hear what you mean. I would give CSU an edge over Detroit in coaching alone. But they are a much better defensive team as well. I still think that we could be poised to make a run. Obviously everybody is back, and with a few more practices under our belt, I think we are a tough out. It's been a long time since a lower seed won on opening weekend (Detroit over Valpo in 2010)...but if anyone can do it, it is definitely us...and I know Kampe doesn't want to see us again after 2 physical matchups.

We have UIC, then Oakland, then UWGB, then most likely Valpo.....improbable but not impossible, eh?
We'd host the Championship game if WSU and YSU make it to the finals!
Raider Up!!!

We probably will be one and done. I don't expect BD to become a head coach and learn what he should be doing overnight.

Why haven't Yoho or Davis played yet?

Maybe they just couldn't physically recover from their first action, at least not enough for Donlon to want to risk putting them in unless things start to look like their getting out of hand.

In looking now, Yoho is like the next to last guy on the bench.
