I think this is the most united the members on this board have ever been Does anyone actually think this could be a positive for the league?? Side note the part I hate the most is the format will devalue the regular season. Home court advantage has been huge in no only getting to the finals but winning it. I will miss that part of it. First, if this helps attract Belmont to the HL I am all for this change. Second, this does not devalue the regular season. Every game matters still. From the HL tournament standpoint you want to the top seeds to get the buys. From an NCAA standpoint, you need a good resume if you want a good seed in the tournament. Every game is important if you want to get into the post season and get a good enough seed to have a chance to advance past the first round.

wsu97, I've been thinking of your post and I am not sure how much I agree with. Yes, you want to win every game. You want to get a high seed, not sure if the byes stay the same or not.
I can think of two instances worth ( at least to me ) mentioning. First, the roller coaster of emotions in Youngstown in 2007 when we lost and thought we blew the number one seed. Luckily, WSU got some help and we were able to host the HL tourney. Second, look at the this year's baseball standings. I believe we went into the weekend with a half game lead and, now I believe we are a half game out of first. Since the tourney is in a neutral place, I'm not sure it really matters if WSU is a one or two seed.
I do agree that if this change appeals to Belmont joining then that would be a good thing.
No offense to Olympia Entertainment or the city of Detroit when I think of this change.
