Can't remember which thread concerned the new floor at Oakland but, at lunchtime I noticed on Lance McAlister's blog ( Cincinnati radio personality ) showing NKU's new floor design ( if anyone cares ). ( Not smart enough to know how to link it ). norseforce.proboards.com/thread/17/new-arena-floor

What exactly does "major partnership" mean? Does is it entail more than just free uniforms, shoes, and apparel? Does it give a school like UWGB a competitive advantage over programs that don't have a "major partnership?"

Out of curiosity I looked at Lindy's ranking of the top 25 players per position. Of the top 25 PGs only 5 are under 6' tall. The two shortest are 5'9". The tallest of the other 20 players are two guys at 6'5".
At the SG position only one guy was under 6' at 5'11". The other 24 players are 6'3" to 6'7".
At the SF position Jones from Butler was 6'4" and Cousins from Okla. we're the shortest. There was one guy at 6'5". The other 22 players are 6'6" to 6'10".
At PF one guy was 6'6". The others ranged in height upto 6'10".
At the C position one guy was 6'8". The other guys ranged from 6'9" upto 7'6". Eight were 7' or taller.
So if WSU should make the the NCAA this year or whenever, our 3 or 4 guard team will have to play BIG to win a game.

I'm sorry Wolf41 but, what is the point? Is it possible that we could start 5 guys 8 foot or taller and if none of them are in the top 25 at their positions would that change your post? Do the other HL teams have guys in the top 25 of every position? Maybe some of the other teams might have to play BIG in the dance, also. If we started 5 guys ranked number one for each position, would you complain about their height or consider it a source of pride ( for whatever that would be worth )?

I would take a Calvin Murphy or Spud Webb-like PG any day of the week over a current day Lindy's top 20 PG over 6'. Throw in a short 6'5" Center like Chuck Barkley and you're now talking a potential Elite 8 team.
