26 fouls for us, 12 for them? WTH?
This game is over. Hopefully we can get NIU tomorrow. Ugh, what a bummer.

Shame to lose after having a 10 point lead.

26 fouls for us, 12 for them? WTH? That's what happens when you have no inside game and settle for 3 point shots.

Not going to win when you're -14 in the foul differential.
This has been a problem for us every year, and has already been a problem in these two games.
I think we needed to win today to take 2 out of 3 in the mte. Disappointing after being up 10 in the 2nd.

At large has left us. We could still get a play in if we don't lose the next one.

You know it is really sad when the play by play guy can tell you 4-5 adjustments that should have been made at the end of the game and your head coach cannot figure that out or is too damn stubborn to make the changes. Donlon is dead set on playing small. He is dead set on playing man to man defense. There is no reason we should have lost this game. Northridge's coach told his players to drive to the basket and try to draw contact at the end of the game. He wanted to stop the clock and get his players to the FT line. They did that over and over again blowing by our guards and getting easy inside buckets or went to the FT line and Donlon made ZERO adjustments. A damn high school JV coach can tell you that you should switch to zone to stop their penetration. That same high school JV coach would also tell you to stop chucking up 3s and take the ball inside. I'm sure Donlon will come up with all kinds of excuses as to why we lost tonight. Unfortunately none of those reasons will be the truth. The truth is Donlon has had several years to mature as a coach. He hasn't learned a damn thing since he has been here and continues to make the same poor coaching decisions year after year.

If we could play a zone we would be winnings lot more games. Will we play man to man at Rupp Arena against Kentucky. I hope Donlon does not think we are going to play them man to man or this could be Donlon's worse loss as the Raiders head coach.

Here is Donlon's quote about the last 5 minutes of the game: Donlon, as might be expected, was slightly puzzled by the free-throw disparity on a neutral court.
“Here’s what I’ll say,” he said. “They went zone, so you don’t foul as much in zone, to be fair. But I did think, truthfully, the way we were defending for the first 35 minutes was pretty much the same. They made some calls they hadn’t been making, which is their right.
“It really had nothing to do with the whistle and everything to do with what we didn’t do. I don’t even know if we deserved an ‘F’ for the last six minutes. No question, we were bad. We were all bad.”What a bunch of BS. You deserve the F Mr. Donlon. Your were out coached plain and simple. The refs didn't give them the win. You pick up less fouls playing zone. Any casual fan even knows that. All you had to do was make 1 adjustment like switching to zone and you could have won this game. I cannot believe Grant hasn't fired this clown yet.
