George Mason has a couple nice neutral site wins against Ole Miss and Oklahoma State already this season - going to be a tough game on the road for us.

op, i cannot remember another where there have been as many mid majors knocking off the big boys. Probably most are at neutral sites but they are nice to see. last night i watched someone, maybe monmouth, knock off ranked notre dame. a few days ago northern Iowa beat n. carolina. dayton beat a couple of big boys. these are mid majors having that kind of success. it can be done.

i wish cc and jb would give the reffing a rest. they are spending way too much time complaining about the officials.

It doesn't sound like the boys are prepared to play. Ending the half on an 18-1 run seems unreal.

It may be time to pull the plug on the Billy Donlon era at Wright State. Ineptitude on the court is followed by apathy from the fan base. Color me apathetic. My enthusiasm for the program has reached an all time low.

8 points so far in the 2nd half at just under 15:00 minutes. Somewhat better, but they have a long way to go.

Keith, couldn't agree more. It did save me the cost of 2 lower arena seats, the cost of gas to go to the games and the loss of those minutes of my life. The program has never been this low. The fan base Has the lowest interest level I have ever seen. After the Brownell recruits have finished the program has gone down hill. We have some talented players but the coach has not shown he can develop them into a team and use their individual talents to make the team successful.

Poor effort, ugly results. I guess that playing a DIII opponent didn't garner confidence or help with the execution of the offense.

dr j. a couple of thoughts. first, a couple of years ago we had a really talented team (jerran's senior year) . they slogged to a pretty mediocre season. this year the raiders have some pretty talented players and so far this team looks pretty bad. the one thing those two teams have in common is coaching. everyone can draw whatever conclusion they want from that.
second, for the past couple of years i have complained about this program's failure to develop into a qualit mid major. I have "bitched and moaned" about our teams underperforming against poor opposition, failing to recruit quality div i players and crappy scheduling. I have been angry about what we are becoming. people did not like hearing it and of course attacked the messenger. called me a "grumpy old man" etc. well folks, i have news for you. you may not have liked people like mrose and me (and many others) who have been angry about this programs failure to thrive and develop, but way worse than anger, way way worse is fan apathy. and that is what we are seeing here. a game day thread against a good mid major gets what, maybe 10 posts.
we are reaching the point where our fans don't much care and certainly the casual hoops fan in town will not be interested in us.
on the bright side bob grant is happy with the state of the program.

I, like everyone else like Jim Brown but please stop talking up Albion freakin college. I don't care that they are 4-0. They are not a division 1 school and it's embarrassing enough just to play them! Can't wait for another exciting night of raider roundball with 1500 in the stands and a team I've never heard of as the opponent!

dogbert, i was thinking the same thing listening to jb. apparently we have reached a point in raiderroundball where div iii teams are viewed as a challenge. really sad.
