Detroit is coming off of two tough losses at home (Valpo and Oakland), and hasn't won on the road this season.
This is always a physical game. Hopefully resting our key players for much of the second half of the YSU game will play to our advantage. Also, Detroit is scoring in droves this season, averaging more than 90 points per game. We obviously saw what we did to YSU the other night, so we've been able to slow high-scoring teams down. I'm sure we'll try to avoid a shootout, as coach McCallum has no problem running a 10 man rotation keeping fresh legs on the floor.
Detroit is giving up points in droves this season, giving up almost 93 ppg on the road. I think this plays into our favor, as our defense is far superior. I'm hopeful for a game similar to CSU where we can control the game, and slowly pull away with more talented players, especially defensively.
We're going to have to stay out of foul trouble, especially Karena, who has 2" and 30lbs on the entire Detroit team. Hopefully he'll be able to take advantage inside, and draw some fouls. Otherwise, we need a better 3 point shooting night than what we had against YSU. Lastly, I'm hoping for a clean game, with no hard fouls or setbacks on the injury front.
WSU has won the last 3 games in the series at the Nutter Center.

I believe our 3 point shooting went down when the reserves came in the second half. They were chucking up 3's against YSU left and right.
Detroit usually likes to get up and down the court but I don't think we are too bad at that either. Our starters are rested up good so hopefully we have the better stamina. Karena should be able to rebound good tonite. We are seeing more rebounding out of us lately so hopefully that is a growing part of the game.
I liked the way we were making the mid range jumpers against YSU. They were leaving that part of the floor open.
We win 78-60 tonight.

Thomasson needs to seriously step his game up. Been a huge disappointment lately.

Billy is giving his guys a serious ass chewing at this first timeout. Too many easy baskets.

We are really going to be screwed next year when we lose Karena and Yoho.

Raiders are up 3 still but we are starting to get into foul trouble.

We're really struggling. Tons of shitty turnovers, missing free throws. Not looking like the Raiders of the last two games at all.

Going the wrong direction here. Looking like the team from the first half of the season. Playing like garbage, absolute garbage.
