This is a win on paper game but could be dangerous. We have to respect that this team can beat us if not focused on them and not our next game with Valpo.. I would rather if we played Valpo before UIC.

Agree. That Dixon kid has been a handful for everyone all year. I'll be happy with a win by any margin here. Trap game written all over it.

Just need to limit Dixon and we should win this game.

I'm going to be real frank. There's no way a team in second place should lose this game. But it's the epitome of a trap game ahead of Valpo.
UIC is 347/351 in RPI, and this team is 3-19, and has ONE division one win on the season (in OT nonetheless). Let's not be the second.

One more thing, when the rest of the Horizon League stops scheduling non-D1 games, then you can talk about those wins.
This year, 5 of the 10 teams played 2 non-D1 games, 4 schools played one game. Only Oakland saw fit to have a solid non-con schedule with all D1 teams.

circle70, that is why I posted that we need to focus on this game and team and not take them for granted.

Only Raider game I'll be able to attend in person this year (unless we make the Sweet 16), so I'll be live posting from inside the Pavilion. I'll try to be cognizant of the tape delay.

I agree, I doubt this game will be easy for us. I think the Raiders will win, but they'll make us all nervous.

With VU Saturday, I'm afraid we're looking ahead and assuming this win.
I don't expect us to win Saturday, so this is a must win game. A four loss team isn't going to be the two seed.

A four loss team isn't going to be the two seed. if 4 losses won't get the two seed and you're expecting an L on Saturday then we are already out of the running and tonight doesn't matter.

First status update: 15 minutes til tipoff. Total of eight adults on the home side, myself included. The promotions department has done a great job bringing in school groups to fill up some seats. Other than that, WSU fans outnumber flames fans and game personnel (including the mariachi band playing during warmups) FAR outweigh paid attendance.
Didn't catch much of warmups, but from what I did see, Karena was looking particularly spry tonight.

Didn't catch much of warmups, but from what I did see, Karena was looking particularly spry tonight. Every time i've been to the UIC Pavillon, they seem to always have school groups occupying seats. Other than that, there's really not much in the way of fans that show up. The league would love to see them build themselves back into a non-bottom-feeder. Maybe a few years with McClain at the helm will move things along. Hopefully that doesn't start tonight. ;-) Go Raiders. Take care of business.
