Wright State shut out Miami tonight 4-0 to win their 3rd straight Nuxhall Classic. Also noteworthy: Lovelady's 100th win and the in state non-con streak grows to 19 straight.

Disappointed lately with the hardball squad. Toledo and Bowling Green are awful. Two of the worst teams in the MAC. We split 2-2 against them (2-1 v Toledo, 0-1 v BG). No bueno.
Oh well, let's win the league and make sure we host the HL tournament.

Quite the weekend for the baseball team. Swept a doubleheader at Youngstown on Friday, and then swept a DH at NKU today. Raiders now 28-12 overall and 12-3 (first place) in the Horizon League.
Good job men! Keep it going!

The best mid-major team in college baseball (I'm slightly biased) Wright State Raiders swept Valpo in Fairborn today. We dominated the first game 8-2 and then won a thriller in the "nightcap" 11-10. We were down 10-4 headed to the bottom of the seventh and then scored 7 unanswered.
Raiders are now 32-13 overall and 16-4 in the HL (first place by 4 games over UIC).

Building on the Valpo sweep, the men swept Oakland on the road Sunday in two games, 17-9 and 17-1 respectively. The dominant showing improves the squad to 34-13 and 18-4. Next game is Wednesday at Toledo.

The men currently have an RPI of 51; up 21 spots from last week. Next best in the HL is Valpo at 135.
In other news, the softball team is the #2 seed going in to the HL tournament, which starts Wednesday. UIC won three in a row to end the season and edge us out by half a game for the top seed and tournament hosting rights. Ugh!

The Wright State Mashers, er, Raiders are currently whoopin' up on Toledo 9-1 in the bottom of the 5th. Game is at Toledo. Raiders lead the season series 2-1 over the Rockets thus far (bout to be 3-1).
Shortstop Mitch Roman is 4-for-4 with his first HR of the season. Leads the team in batting average at close to .350.
Man this is a good team.

WSU wins 14-5 at Toledo. This team has been dominating lately. They've been good all year, but they've taken it to the next level recently. Good time to be doing that with the postseason just around a corner.
The Raiders move to 35-13 on the season (18-4 in HL play).

The Mashers, aka the Best Mid-Major Team in College Baseball, aka the Wright State Raiders swept visiting UIC today 5-4 and 9-4. The Raiders clinched the regular season Horizon League championship and will host the conference tournament in less than 2 weeks. Mashers/BMMTICB/Raiders are now 37-13 overall and 20-4 in HL play.
Boom!
