This team and program are exciting. I think the Super Regional is within reach. Best program in Ohio, by far! This is what a dominate program looks like and hopefully basketball will be doing the same thing in a few years.

Of course it's Memorial Day and most of us have plans, but there is a selection show watch party today at noon, TJ Chumps in Fairborn. They open at 11, selection show starts at 12.

That's a murderously tough draw. Louisville is arguable the best team in the country.
Interesting to see us draw OSU in the first game. Would give me lots of joy putting the screws to them right out of the gates. That was the only regional site anywhere close to Ohio...so at least there's that...

Calm down Mich fans. You guys are just salty that OSU baseball went 5-0 v the Wolverines this year, including both of your losses in the Big Ten Tournament.
Go Raiders! We can win this thing and go to the Super Regional. Then win that and go to the CWS!
Friday's game between our Raiders and Ohio State begins at 2 p.m. ET ... and will be on ESPN3.

Honestly had zero idea/reason to care about OSU v Michigan in baseball. I just love any opportunity an Ohio school gets to play goliath in a neutral setting.

Raiders and Buckeyes are very evenly-matched teams IMO. This is basically a toss-up game.
Western Michigan might be the worst team in the entire 64-team field. So, even though we've got a tough No. 1 seed in Louisville, we have a No. 2 seed that is very much in line with us talent-wise, plus a No. 4 seed that is dreadful.

My post has zero to do with Michigan. I don't follow college baseball outside of this program and league.
WSU has tore through the entire state of Ohio the last two years. We've creamed everyone in the state, but haven't had a shot at the Buckeyes.
This is our opportunity to prove that we run this state and can hang with anybody, because we have annihilated the rest of the state including UC, UD, XU, MU, and Toledo.

7-6 Buckeyes in walk-off fashion.

OSU celebrated and dog piled on the diamond like they should after the game...After all, they haven't beat the best baseball program in the state of Ohio in how many years? I suspect this OSU baseball team will be like the Wisconsin basketball team in the NCAA a little over a year ago. The emotional victory of beating the better team may leave them mentally drained going into the next game...

We lost this game by putting the pressure of the world on a true freshman in Caleb Sampen. He struggled in the 8th a bit, and I was surprised to see him go back out to the hill in the 9th. The play at the plate was too close to call. ESPN did us no favors with their angles. Tough way to lose though, being down 5-0, and then storming back, only to blow it in the 9th inning. Caleb did a lot of great things for us this season. I honestly thought we were going to lose in the in the 9th as soon as the inning started. OSU looked more prepared and much more focused as the game went on. Hopefully UL can take care of business tonight so we can get a chance to win a game in this tournament. Couldn't believe how much love the announcers were pouring love out to OSU building up to the walk off. Everybody loves to talk about the power conferences, nobody likes to give any credit to the little guys. Regroup and get ready for tomorrow.
