This is a basketball board, keep your looney tunes political opinions to yourself and stay on topic. I personally am glad to see Bob go and am looking forward to some new blood. Not to say he's done a bad job necessarily but after being on staff for 30 years, it's time. If you had anything to do with the university in the last decade, you’d know that what they are talking about matters a great deal. The university has made a lot of important personal decision based more on promoting diversity than it has on hiring the most qualified individual. In this specific case, if the university just promotes Brown without even doing a national search it will be based a great deal on promoting a woman to the AD position vs the most qualified candidate. She has absolutely no experience to justify getting the job vs anyone else that has served as a head AD at any other university who has more qualifications for the job. The university has spent a lot time tooting it’s effort to hire and promote people based on diversity. I am not at all against doing a national search and hope they do one (doubt they will unless they legally have to considering time and cost), but these days everyone seems to cry and whine about DEI and use it as a strawman argument when there is no logical connection or they have no idea what it actually even is. I do however see the logic of promoting within and Brown would certainly be someone who knows the ins and outs better than anyone else besides Grant.

So? What relevance does that have? None whatsoever from what I can tell. So what is your point in bringing it up? I think there is relevance. DEI is poison to any serious organization. It appears to me that Grant went through the motions of DEI to keep people in the university at bay that like that stuff. So bringing up if Brown is a true believer in DEI or if she put it on the back shelf, is a legit question. I think Bob Grant did a really good job. I won't get into the baseball program conversation as much as I'm not aware of any controversy there, although he kept having to replace the Baseball coach when they'd move on and the baseball program just kept being really good with every replacement. I read that Brown also oversees "programming for staff and student-athletes on diversity, equity and inclusion." Hmm interesting, well will see what happens with what direction they decide to eventually go. So? What relevance does that have? None whatsoever from what I can tell. So what is your point in bringing it up?

Very sorry to hear this, Big D. The way you are talking it doesn't sound good. I hope that isn't the case. Keep us posted and godspeed.

If you polled HL teams and coaches, I would wager almost none respect WSU players or Coach Nagy. WSUbis being circled now aa W or at worse toss up by most teams when they look at the schedule.... Well YSU was celebrating last night like they upset a power conference team. That has got to be one of the most embarrassing things I’ve seen in a long time.

Former Raider @aj_paterson started for Grenada in their match v USA tonight. Grenada lost 7-0. It was a historic game as Team USA scored seven goals in a match played outside the United States for the first time in program history.

That first half was fun to watch. Milwaukee did not play well, but WSU certainly took advantage. Feel like I mention it in every post, but love Welage and what he does for this team. Amari Daivs' performance was incredibly hard to watch. A couple of horrible turnovers, but more notably, Milwaukee scored 17 POINTS in the 7 MINUTES he was out there. Not sure how Nagy uses him going forward. I was excited with Amari's addition as I'm sure any fan that saw him play Green Bay was. Did not see this coming. I am really hoping that Amari is just in some sort of transitional funk and that he will eventually get his groove back. He just has not yet shown himself to be the player many knew him to be.

This season has been so hard to watch knowing how good this team could have been if Tanner and Grant didn't transfer out. So tired of folks whining about “what could’ve been”. Let it go.

Just to be clear, this is a paid advertisement. It literally says on the front page "This story is paid for by an advertiser. Members of the editorial and news staff of the USA Today network were not involved in the creation of this content." The Cincinnati Enquirer is not writing a story about Wright State's "world-class education".

We don't love the downward spiral of the program. This thread has gotten way off course, but since it already has I would like to address one point from you above tantrum. You are f'ing crazy if you think our program is on a downward spiral. We've had more success under Nagy than we had under ANY other coach in WSU history. We have a damn good team ready to take the court this season. If you don't want to get season tickets anymore, I understand your frustration, but don't make an idiotic statement about the state of our program to try to justify your decision. I just had to jump in and say I can't understand this "downward spiral" comment either. We just had our first-ever NCAA tournament win and we are in a "downward spiral"? Can you clarify?
