Andrew Patrick had one AB in the first game of the doubleheader Saturday then was replaced by a pinch hitter. He didn't play in the nightcap, or on Sunday. Any idea why?

Peyton Burdick called up to the Marlins to debut at Wrigley. Pretty cool.

www.milb.com/las-vegas/video/murphy-bashes-homer/c-2524334283Former Raider Sean Murphy crushes a homer over the pool in CF to become the first Aviator to go deep in the new Vegas ballpark. Four hits on the day for Sean. He also threw out the only baserunner that attempted to steal. One step away from MLB.

Worst loss in......5 years? If the Raiders make it to a regional, they’ll own the worst loss of the entire 64 team field...and are in danger of having more of the same with the poor teams at the bottom of the HL left on the schedule.

Raider Baseball produces, and loses, another top level head coach. IU gets a good one. Raider Up on the next man.

Nice day for Raider sports. Baseball wins a pair, including their 14th straight over UD. Hoops team draws the Tennessee Vols in the NCAA tourney. Former Raider catcher Sean Murphy homers for the Oakland A's in a spring training game against the Cubs.

WMU may have the best pitcher in this regional and they saved him for the second game. Raiders have a much better record but this game is no gimme.

Interesting. A quick search finds articles on line that he committed to Central Michigan in 2014. No mention in the article above that he decommitted. Not sure if the Raiders' success this season had anything to do with this.

Milwaukee may have the best talent in the league. Our games with them are typically dogfights. I saw every game with them the last 2 years, both home and away. They really swing the bat. They are big and athletic and have players drafted most years. They're the only Division 1 team in the state of Wisconsin (the Badgers don't have baseball) and have pretty much all the talent left in the state after the top high schoolers are drafted or go south to play. They swept a 3 game series at Missouri (a 35 win team) this year and beat #15 Iowa on the road. Leading hitter Sam Koenig is on the Golden Spikes watch list. UWM has 35 wins this season and it is pretty impressive that we have won 5 of 6 with them. The Horizon League is generally underappreciated in baseball. Last time I checked it was ranked the 14th best conference out of 31 in D1, higher than many higher profile leagues. The tournament could be a knock down, drag out fight. UIC is very impressive, we always have a fight on our hands with Valpo and, lately, with YSU. Hope our guys play their best. It'd be great to see them in a regional.

No Raiders were drafted. So far none have signed free agent contracts, which is surprising.

Hoping to see some Raider baseballers selected in the MLB Draft in the next 2 days. There are several 'possibles' on the team and it would be a nice reward and great opportunity for them.
