From reading the Ohio U message board, Someone on there said they spoke with HC Groce, and he said they will be returning the game at Wright State in 2011-2012 season, not next year.

I can't wait until our student section gets to show him some love at the Nutter Center in 2 years.

I'm sure TBRF is already making plans for Walter's return to the Nutter Center.

The WSU ad on basketball travelers was updated again today to read: Wright State is now in need of a ROAD guarantee game...possible dates are Nov. 12-13, as well as multiple dates in December. Please contact Scott Woods @ (937)2874552 or scott.woods@wright.edu
I'm assuming that means we're back to needing two games. Did someone drop us? Go Raiders!

Ohiopirate reported in another thread that we have a home/home with Air Force in place and a 2 for 1 with Cincinnati. Air Force was 8-21 with an RPI of 245 last year, but with Wright Patt right around the corner it should be a well attended game. Cincinnati was 18-15 with an RPI of 65. Should be good for the RPI and good for attendance when they come to the Nutter Center.

Our nonconference slate is shaping up nicely. I hope we can finish out our 2010 recruiting class with a post player that can contribute next year. Otherwise we might be biting off more than we can chew.
4 game Chicago Invitational Challenge (Arkansas, Southern Illinois, Purdue) Cincinnati Miami Air Force Bracket Busters

The longer we go without announcing our last signing, the more it looks like we will be adding a transfer player that will have to sit out next year or holding onto that scholarship for 2011. Either way, we have a big glaring need in the paint. I like that Donlon wants to upgrade the schedule, but I don't know if next year is the best year to do that if we are rebuilding.

I don't think you can go wrong by upgrading the schedule unless you put together a schedule you have absolutely no chance at being competitive against. I don't think we have done that so far. We may not win those games vs some of those BCS schools, but I don't think we will get blown out. I see a few big benefits to upgrading our schedule.
1. Playing a tougher nonconference schedule is going to prepare us for a tougher HL this year. 2. It should help recruiting. Kids want to play for a winner and they want to play against teams they know and they want to play on TV. 3. Playing more BCS programs gives us more chances to get on TV or at least to get us more media coverage. Wright State isn't a household name by any means. The more exposure we get, the better. It will help with recruiting and it will help build our fanbase.

I agree. You put together the best schedule you can. Sometimes that means you take some lumps, but in the end it will toughen us up for the HL portion of our schedule. It also gives us a better shot at an at large bid if we have a good year. We just finished our 3rd straight year with 20 wins and didn't get into the NCAAs or NIT. We need to upgrade our schedule if we want to have a shot at the post season without the automatic bid.

Air Force and UC should definitely help with attendance. Anyone know if we start these series at home or on the road?
