We are less than 2 weeks away from our first exhibition game. Time to predict the starting lineup. I don't think the lineup we go with at the beginning of the year will be the same once conference play begins.
OOC Starters: PG Reggie Arceneaux SG Kendall Griffin SF Jerran Young PF Cole Darling C AJ Pacher
HL Starters: PG Reggie Arceneaux SG Chrishawn Hopkins SF Jerran Young PF Cole Darling C AJ Pacher

I don't really care who starts. I just want to see a good rotation of players where Donlon: 1. rewards players who are having a good game with increased playing time. 2. utilizes our roster to create mismatches against opponents.

PG: Arceneaux (OOC) Hopkins (HL) SG:Griffin SF:Yoho PF1:Young PF2:Darling
Prior to the press conference I'd probably have put Dixon or Pacher in there, but since Donlon talked beyond just a mention about getting Yoho, Young, and Darling on the court at the same time, I think it'll look more like this But then again, we all know it's a heavy rotation so who starts and who comes off the bench probably won't matter in the grand scheme of things. It wouldn't be out of character if the whole line changed within two timeouts.

PG: Arceneaux (OOC) Hopkins (HL) SG:Griffin SF:Yoho PF1:Young PF2:Darling Interesting lineup. I think that Young would be the 3 and Yoho the 4 in that scenario though. Young can guard just about anyone. Yoho lacks the foot speed to guard most quicker 3s. I do like the idea of getting them all on the court together.

I can't argue with any of your choices, because the talent and depth is there to draw upon. Best of luck to the team and coaches as they near the beginning of the 2013-14 season. To misquote the XX commercial..."Stay healthy my friends."

I want to see a good rotation of players and early on different combinations playing together. I would love to see 4 or 5 players scoring in double figures. Am I dreaming, I think it is possible.

This team is so deep I couldn't care less who gets the first 4 minutes of the game unless we being that trend of falling behind in the opening minutes of the game like we have in the past.

I don't think we have to worry about that this year. Our problem last year was we started many games with Bramanti, Vest, Griffin, and Sledge in the starting lineup together. Whoever started with them was our only aggressive scoring option. Bramanti is gone and Vest is either sitting out this year or at the best going to be playing limited minutes for us. That means we will be starting at least 3 guys on the court at all times that should be legit scorers.

At today's luncheon Coach Donlon expressed that he would like to have Darling, Young, and Yoho on the court at the same time. Complment that with tandems of Dixon/Griffin and Hokins/Reggie and you have pretty good scoring potential at all times. That still gives you AJ, Vest, maybe Sledge, Davis, Meyer, and the two walk-ons coming off the bench.
