Watching Valpo at Oakland. Very impressed by what Drew has done with such a young team.

With Valpo's height advantage I doubt we take the ball inside at all. We are going to live or die by the 3 again in this game.

We should not be taking 3's unless we are hitting them. We should be running up and down the court to wear their bigs down. We have the horses to do it. That equalizes the size difference if you don't let the defense get set.

Don't expect a change til there is a change of coaches. We do have the athletes to run and the numbers to run for a lot of the game. This would expend energy of the opponents defense more than our offensive players. If Cole and AJ need more rest with that then so be it. The BD game hasn't worked so far. Maybe they will catch fire and start winning. But at this time we don't have a killer attitude.

What would make you tink he is going to start now?

I agree 100 percent. Billy Donlon does not know what uptempo means. We have never played that kind of ball ever. Offense is dead, and Billy Donlon killed it.

Those in Vegas must not read up on the Raider injury report. I bet we're down double digits 10 minutes in.

Unfortunately, it does seem that we get a lot of injuries during practice, going back even into the Brownell era. I don't know enough about CBB to know what is common/uncommon to make any further comment. At any rate, not sure if Jerran or Pacher are a go, but regardless I am less concerned about losing JT in a one-game scenario with Valpo. I think because DOnlon plays him in the post, JT ends up giving back whatever he scores. But over multiple weeks, we definitely lose our one true zone-buster. Losing Kendall is tough due to his D and other intangibles he brings that don't show up in the pts/gm. column. We have Vest, who I think plays as well as Kendall, but also this should give others a chance.
This game will either be an unequivocal disaster (blown out on national TV, embarrassing to any recruits, and a harbringer of the rest of the year), or a great win that could serve as a true turning point--winning on the road, on national TV, short-handed and against a team that beat us three times last year. I'm one of those hopeless die-hards, so let's just roll the dice and say the latter happens....

Just watched replay of the Arizona UCLA game. Arizona was playing a good aggressive game attacking the rim. With 6 minutes to go they had a 13 point lead. Suddenly they started to play conservatively, playing not to lose, instead of continuing to play to win. They had to change back to win the game. Why have so many basketball coaches bought into this philosophy?

I forgot to mention I have a gig tonight during the game so I'll have to watch the replay when I get home. Nobody post anything during the game or about the game until I get home, okay? Kthxbye

Chris Collins just posted on Facebook that we will be without the services of three players tonight. No mention on who the third one is.

Update: Griffin, Yoho, and VEST will be out tonight. I assume that means Pacher and Young will both be playing. That definitely helps us inside against Valpo. I imagine we'll see more Hopkins tonight, too.
