First there were some positives about the game tonight. The game was lost because our open shots weren't falling, we hadat least three lay ups that were short, could have had fouls called on them but weren't. I hope BD and the team realize they need to play at a high energy level, up tempo on offense and defense. Steven Davis played with a lot more enthusiasm tonight. The style of play and enthusiasm of the team tonight got the crown involved in the comeback effort. It reminded me of watching Raider Roundball in the past. When we started playing the aggressive trapping zone defense we started to shut their offense down. Karens well get more under control when around the basket. He is rushing himself right now. He will improve. I can see us playing 9-10 guys at a high pace and energy level on both ends of the court. I think Joe Thomason needs to be a floor leader along with JT and Chrishawn.

My thoughts on the game. This team is too short. Karena would be better with more size around him. Yoho should be playing small forward, you can tell he is exhausted at the end of the game from getting banged up on the in-side. R. Davis needed to play more in the OOC games to develop his game, but that didn't happen so we only have two big men prepared for league games, just like last year when Donlon didn't play S. Davis enough to get him ready for this year. The Nutter Center has so many empty seats, maybe they should just put drapes over the top two thirds of the seats in the arena and pack the few remaining fans into the bottom area. The drummers at half time were great, I wish they could of played in the second half to add a little more noise to the Nutter Center. Their big guy destroyed us. Saw a few drunk friends at half time that were enjoying themselves talking about the good old days...always fun to stumble down memory lane. Not sure why I got sent to the lower lot when there were tons of open spots on top...so much for encouraging the casual walk-up ticket buyer to go to a game in the rain. Since students get their tickets for free I think, I think that walk-up ticket prices should be around $5 for unused student tickets. Donlon took the blame for losing the game on the post game show, that is getting old.

I think we were a little slow to realize the game was going to be called like an A10 game. Although I was a little shocked when their guy clearly pushed Reggie behind a screener (who of course moved), stepped back, took a pass and made a three. That was a painful miss by the ref. A moving screen is one thing and a push off is another, but to push a defender behind the screen...
It also hurt us to have Benzinger get hurt and be out for some of the first half because he's a hustler and some of the other guys need that example. I'm just glad it was only a cut and not a concussion.
