With CSM there will only be 2 HL programs previewed. WSU is predicted to finish 2nd in the HL by CSM.
IMHO, I believe 141 is too low. I also think WSU and NKU (presumably CSM's #1 HL) will be ranked relatively close together. So, it will be interesting to see where the Norse are placed in the rankings. If we are ranked close together what does that say about professional prognosticators view of the HL? We'll be just a few spots above Grambling. Evidently Grambling had one heck of an offseason as they finished last year with a #246 RPI and won the SWAC, which came in dead last in conference RPI (#32).

Evidently North Carolina Central has had a stellar off-season much like Grambling. After finishing 6th in the MEAC (RPI 31) last year NCC (RPI 286) comes in at #140 in CSM's top 144 programs for the upcoming season.

I like these guys! I think they do an excellent job of digging deep and their analysis is more than just returning % of minutes, scoring, rebounds, etc., etc., Though they don't specifically evaluate the HL conference as a whole in relation to other conferences it's pretty apparent what they think about the HL as they describe UIC and Northern Kentucy. " it helps that the league has slowly faded into oblivion over the last few years...NKU will certainly benefit from a depleted talent pool across the Horizon |
