I was encouraged by the way we played yesterday. We didn’t just rely on the 3. We moved the ball well on offense and looked for better shots. We fell short and I think that comes down to our lack of depth. We need to get Smith more minutes on the court and get him ready to contribute by HL play or this is going to be a long season.

Totally agree. The OOC games should be used to prepare for the League schedule. There are 2.5 weeks left before league play begins. Hope Nagy uses the next 3 games to give the bench players more playing time to get them ready for meaningful minutes in the second half of the season. This would also mean that the starters will be well rested going into the new year when every game matters. Looking at our roster, I see James Manns, who is listed at 6'7". With our lack of depth and height, why wouldn't you give this guy more playing time during the OOC games and hope he improves? I don't know the answer, but I do know Coach Nagy sees the players in practice everyday and I trust him to correctly develop the talent. |
