There were concerns. This is very likely to be a bullet that was dodged. Guys can spin this anyway they want. The bottom line is this is a black eye for the program. He either left due to uncertainty surrounding the university with the faculty strike or he was encouraged to leave after he got here due to "concerns". That in my book is even more concerning. It is a complete failure of our coaching staff to miss evaluate a recruit that bad to give him a scholarship only to turn around and want to get rid of him before he even starts taking classes. Either way it's done and we now have an open scholarship for next year that needs to be filled. We lost about a month of recruiting because of this misstep. Hope it doesn't prevent us from finding a solid PF for next year. Nagy doesn't like to bring in JUCOs. I think i's time for him to break that trend and look at what can help us the most next season. I'm getting sick and tired of going into every season with a partial roster of players. We have talent. If we had more depth we could be competing for another HL championship instead of trying to get our record above .500.

Well, there may we’ll be issues, but more likely with him. At 3 programs in less than two months. Maybe Coach saw issues and ones we didn’t need. He came here and maybe after Coach evaluated him as a player and person didn’t want to deal with them. Will be interesting to see what happens next. We don’t know if exited on his own or was encouraged to do so.

Don't you think you need to know all that was going on before you make such statements? HELL NO I DON'T. Our coaches are paid a great deal of money to make good evaluations on recruits BEFORE they bring them into our program. They have brought in some really nice recruits but they have also completely blown it with a handful of recruits now. In 2017, they signed Tyler Mitchell who enrolled in school last year and left before we even played a game. In 2018, they signed Jeremiah Davenport who opted to go to a prep school instead of enrolling at WSU this year. There has been speculation that he didn't qualify to go to college this year. That isn't true. He was fully qualified. He just decided he didn't want to come to WSU. And now in 2019, they whiffed on Omar.

This game thread has run off course. If you want to continue to discuss our recruits/recruiting there is a discussion thread on the recruiting board for that reason.
