They have melted down on the Detroit message board. Dispite what the replay shows they think Big Lou stepped on him. They are talking law suits and investigations and want players suspended. The funniest thing is they want out of the Horizon League because of all the bad calls they have to endur. My question is who would take them. Buncha whiners. Davis got into a shouting match with fans down at NKU and I think his kid got tee’ed up for throwing his shoe. The kid is a great shooter but he doesn’t have the body to play full contact D1 basketball let alone NBA ball. He was either on the floor or rubbing some part of his body three times in the game.

The Detroit fans have no clue that the referees the HL uses are many of the same ones the MVC, MAC, Ohio Valley and A-10 use. Then when they run out of things to cry about they start in on our faculty strike.

Boy that's a read. Collusion from the league allegedly allowing Love to trample on players like the wildebeasts plowing Mufasa. Give me a break.
These two teams have always been physical. There's been a decent amount of unnecessary contact over the last decade between WSU and Detroit.
Love did nothing egregious or intentional, in fact, it appears that two Titan players did more damage to Davis on the play than Love did.
This is division one basketball. This isn't 7th grade girls. Physical contact is part of the game. I would be the first person to admit fault in this play if there was any. The fact of the matter is the play is a common play, and is a common foul.
Targeting a player, an official, and an entire league is a gigantic overreach. Just because it involved two star players makes no difference in the matter.
Detroit is mad they got their payback on the scoreboard and their star player was injured. Plain and simple.

Is the video replay available of the game or the part that is in question?

Is the video replay available of the game or the part that is in question? Yes on espn+, they showed 3 angles of the play from start to finish and at no time did Love step on Davis. One replay showed clearly that Love left his foot in the air as to not step on Davis while he pulled his leg out to get untangled with Davis’ arm. Mike Davis should owe Loudon an apology for the way he went off on him. He was very unprofessional, although it is his son and he was told wrong by one of his assistants that Loudon stomped on Antoine. Also the poster on the Detroit message board is wrong on how the Jordan Blount/Loudon Love incident went down with UIC, but why should we let facts get in the way of a good story.

I am sure the league has reviewed the play and if any indication of deliberate stomping, we have heard from them. I have looked at the replay and he was stepped on by his teammate accidentally.
