Glad to see us get this local kid. There's no reason we shouldn't be getting first dibs at these local guys over all the other schools in Ohio. Great building block for this program. Hopefully this is a sign of great things to come. |

Since we are just a little over a week from the first game I thought I would post the schedule again with the preseason rankings and the highlights. It is a killer schedule. The Raiders open up with three against #6 Mississippi State, then one against #2 U of L. After three against WKU, the death march continues with three against #9 Auburn. Then three against unranked Tennessee. Baseball America has Ohio State ranked #24 and they come to WSU. UC was an NCAA team and we play them in a home and home, plus a game at Miami in the Nuxhall Classic. Finally, the Raiders play unranked Kentucky in Lexington on May 5th. That is a very good schedule. Oh, and still no UD which would drag down our ranking anyway. wsuraiders.com/sports/baseball/schedule |

I just noticed that my last post was my 1000th post and I would like to take just a moment to thank a few people.
First I would like to thank my mother and father for raising me. I would like to thank the late Ralph Underhill for making Raiderroundball so fun that I became hooked immediately upon arriving on campus, also Coach Brown and his epic post-game radio shows. I want to thank retired professor former PA announcer Gordy Wise for talking a lot of Raider hoops in class which helped further my interest in our program. Then some of my favorite players kept me excited like Steve Hartings, Mike Grote, Gary Monroe, Fred Moore, Roman Welch, Andy Warner, Mark Vest, Mark Woods, Billy Edwards, Sean Hammonds, Vitaly Potapenko, Kein Brooks and many others. And finally, our Admins that make this whole thing possible,
