Think these players have seen they can win games without our big guy. It also instills in our opponents minds that we are a doormat without our bruiser in the middle. Which can work to our advantage. Nagi will more than likely run an offense that most teams haven’t scouted much.
If Nagy can control Mann’s and Potter gets his problems straightened out we can do well. Those two are really athletic.

I changed the title of this thread because the negativity in it was annoying the hell out of me every time I checked out the board.
This team is loaded with talent. Winning with Lou would obviously be much easier than it will be without him but this team is talented and deep. The season is far from over and we will be even stronger down the stretch run from the experience and confidence the rest of the team is going to gain while Lou is on the mend.

We don’t know the extent of the injury yet. It could be minor or serious and won’t know until the MRI is read. I will pray it will be minor but either way this team has talent and depth.

My focus on his injury isn’t about the team but on this young man. He has worked hard and improved to play the game he loves. We have talked about the impact on the team but not given as much concern about the impact on Loudon.

I think Loudon's head is in pretty good condition. He's mature enough to see this as a challenge. The biggest issue could be conditioning. The elbow is one of the joints that has the greatest range of movements and is very difficult to repair if it gets damaged. If it's just a bone chip they can be removed and healing can happen pretty quickly. The big issue is that the weight room is out for a period of time as far as lifts are concerned. He can still work on his lower body and his overall conditioning but he's going to need to let the elbow heal without any additional strain.

There's an article in the Dayton Daily News that gives that 4-6 week time frame

The hope is that he is ready for HL play at the end of December but they aren’t going to rush him back.

This information came from the coaching staff. They also said the usual stuff about Loudon being disappointed but still working hard to stay in shape for his return. You probably noticed that he was not wearing a sling or an appliance last night. That’s a good sign.
