Finally getting some exposure. Hopefully this moved our net rankings up.

Finally getting some exposure. Hopefully this moved our net rankings up. 129 to 117. NKU dropped from 130 to 144. Great game and atmosphere. The only bad thing about the blowout is NKU will definitely remember this and be hungry for the rematch.

The only bad thing about the blowout is NKU will definitely remember this and be hungry for the rematch. This is why we need to continue dominating the rest of our schedule. We don't want to go into their house the end of February in a battle for first place. What a fantastic night! And congratulations, Opti. I love the fact that you are donating your winnings to Samaritan's Feet.

That is really cool to donate the money. I would have used that moolah to buy a couple of boxes of cigars, but you put it to a better use. Good man!

a couple of boxes of cigars???!!!! geez runt, what are you smokin? High end Cuban Cohibas?? Congrats to jp for his generosity.
I cannot count the times the raiders had a significant game at the Nutter with a big crowd and we laid an egg the size of an ostrich egg. but last night was different. not comparing it to any specific game in the past, but this was the most complete game the raiders have played in a long while. We played great defense. our three point shooting was excellent and nicely distributed. It was very difficult for nku to drop off a perimeter player to double loudon without getting burnt by a three pointer. that really helped lou be efficient in the paint. have not seen stats but I am sure he shot a much better percentage than his season long 49%.
If I had a criticism, maybe we gave up too many second shots. But it is hard to be critical of our play in a game like that. If that team comes to every game we will win a lot of games.
After the game two thoughts went thru my head. First , this is a really good team that could win a lot of games. second, we could do some damage in post season provided, and it is a big provided, we can get a decent seed. can we beat a 1or 2 seed?? Probably not but if we could end up matched up with a 4 or 5 seed we might see the field of 32.
well regardless of anything else, it was a nicely played game and our guys should be proud. hopefully we will come out firing on all cylinders every night.

Contrary, I think last night beats the right 2 or 3 seed. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I watch every second of every game and I didn’t expect last night to happen at all. Neither would have a blue blood team looking forward to the next matchup. But...none of that matters unless we get there. If we want to sniff a 13 seed, we have to win every game. And get kinda lucky too.
Great game!

We have all been praising the performance and effort by the team, which is warranted. I want to praise Coach Nagy and the staff for putting together the offense and defense schemes that the players executed very well.

I read every summary or recap out there and this one was the worst. The wording is atrocious and the sentences don't flow. NKU also gets nothing by keeping pace with us. Keeping pace, and then beating us still gets them second place. NKU has to gain a game over the final 8 for that game to matter in regards to the postseason tournament or regular season championship. Neither of those things matter a lick without winning the league tournament and we all know it. Even if we win out, go 9-0, finish at 27-4, finishing 4 made baskets away from being undefeated, we aren't getting in without winning the tournament because this league is hot garbage.

one other thought about the nku game. this may be an oversimplification but I look at each game with them as an audition for the mvc. if they are adding two teams and one is coming from the hl , then probably it is between us and them and we need to dominate them at every opportunity. most importantly we need to be the hl rep in the dance.
this game was a great start and we need to keep it up.

The best quote in the article is: "There’s no point in sugarcoating it, Northern Kentucky was served a good ol’fashioned whuppin Friday night. It lost in every major stat category and at no point was in the game"
