UNC Wilmington fires Head Basketball Coach C.B. McGrath. McGrath joined the program in April of 2017 and has directed the Seahawks to a 26-58 overall record in three years with the team. UNCW stands 5-14 overall and 0-6 in the Colonial Athletic Association.

The University of Evansville announced today the dismissal of Walter McCarty as Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball team, effective immediately.
Mr. McCarty was placed on administrative leave on December 26, 2019, as UE initiated an external investigation by a national law firm into reports of alleged sexual misconduct and violations of the University’s Title IX policy.
Since then, the University has received additional reports of alleged misconduct by Mr. McCarty during his tenure at UE. Last year, the University had issued warnings to Mr. McCarty regarding inappropriate off-court behavior with members of our campus community. Mr. McCarty also participated in training concerning acceptable behavior under Title IX.
While the investigation of potential Title IX violations will continue under University policies, UE has decided that, based on the facts uncovered thus far, it is necessary to terminate Mr. McCarty’s employment immediately.

The UE thing is disappointing. My wife has a connection there and the whisper on the street is being investigated for sexual misconduct relating to a female student athlete. Certaily troubling news.
Also, I assume you mean Todd Lickliter, not sure who Frank is. He was a great coach at Butler. He was really the guy who put them on the map reaching the Sweet 16 in 2 of his 6 seasons as coach. (Of course, we all know about the stunning wins we had against Butler in the 06-07 season).

Yes it is Todd Lickliter. And in regards to the UE situation, all the reports I have seen is it was related to contact between the HC and a female student.

John Beilein has stepped down from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Beilein has been a college coach since 1978, most recently with Michigan, before stepping away to take the Cavs job. The 67 year old has struggled to adapt to the style of NBA play, and most expect him to be back on the collegiate sideline sooner rather than later. The only question is, where will he end up?
Early odds on favorites are Indiana, Northwestern, or Texas.

Not easy for most college coaches to go coach grown men in the NBA. They don’t jump every time you bark an order.

College Basketball is a "coaches" league, the NBA is a players league. This hire was doomed from the beginning. No way are a bunch of multi-millionaire players going to listen or respect a 67 year old dude with no NBA cred.

Jeff Borzello: Southeast Missouri State has parted ways with head coach Rick Ray, source told ESPN. Former Mississippi State head coach had been with the Redhawks for five seasons. Finished 7-24 this season.
