The SEC is turning out to be a tough nut to crack for the Raiders. We do this every year. Since we can't play at home in February, we go on the road, get optimistic about a good showing, but end up getting smacked around 90% of the time. I don't know how "getting bought" in baseball works, and if it is a necessary thing for our program to do, then we have to keep doing it; just wish we could play these SEC teams at the top of our game, not in the first two weekends of the season. Quite the opposite - an extraordinary record in February-March games of smacking top teams. Nearly 50% wins against ranked teams in the recent years. 2016 (8) North Carolina State - 10-8, W (8) North Carolina State - 1-6, L (8) North Carolina State - 4-8, L 2017 (10) Clemson - 6-4, W (10) Clemson - 2-6, L (10) Clemson - 9-2, W (4) South Carolina - 3-4, L (4) South Carolina - 5-10, L (4) South Carolina - 5-1, W 2018 (20) Louisiana - 8-2, W (20) Louisiana - 3-6, L (20) Louisiana - 4-3, W 2019 (10) Mississippi - 1-10, L (10) Mississippi - 9-5, W (19) Oklahoma State - 0-4, L (19) Oklahoma State - 5-17, L (19) Oklahoma State - 5-4, W (9) East Carolina - 12-4, W 2020 (6) Mississippi State - 6-9, L (6) Mississippi State - 2-6, L (6) Mississippi State - 1-5, L (1) Louisville - 10-3, W (20) Auburn - 2-7, L (20) Auburn - 6-20, L (20) Auburn - 0-6, L (11) Tennessee - 5-4, W (11) Tennessee - 1-3, L (11) Tennessee - 6-3, W

Raider gang lost all 5 out of conference games and the conference schedule is looming.
Raiders open up HL play with back to back home weekends with 4 against NKU then YSU before hitting the road at UIC. Interesting note that the Raiders were the preseason favorite with the Flames at number two. Raiders will only see the Flames for one series during the regular season.

I think it is family only right now. I look for that to change shortly. The HL is horrible in opening up the contests for fans.
