I was feeling really good about this series this time last week. IUPUI hadn't won a game in conference and didn't look real impressive against Mikwaukee or Cleveland State. However, the team is returning home with addee confidence after a very rare weekend sweep at NKU. While not the usual Norse, NKU isn't a team that drops many games on their home court, so this has to enstill some positivity within the program.
Marcus Burk continues to lead the Jaguars with 17 a game, and will be upset mined next weekend.

IUPUI gonna IUPUI.
Ridiculous this game is being played in the early afternoon on a weekday.

Well, ok. That seems odd to change the game time so close to the scheduled start.

These trips to IUPUI continue to be a joke. IUPUI should be playing at an on-campus arena where they are the key user of the arena and surrounding areas and can manage the schedule and timing of events. A delay two hours from tip-off is certainly an unwelcoming snafu in the weekend timing for the players and coaches, and certainly more so for our team having traveled in. If we had a 12 noon tip, certainly we were in the building when this delay came down. Now what? It seems trivial, but this could have thrown off our team's game prep, meal planning, etc. Just one more way to throw us off our game. If it isn't 5000 elementary school kids, it's a last second tipoff delay. This is d1 basketball, IUPUI needs to get it together.

Was this a scheduling / overbooking thing, or was there some other issue? Not a clue. I'm assuming it was a last-minute logistical issue. I can't think of many that would delay the start of a game. Maybe replacing a section of the court, an entire basketball hoop, a clock issue, a referee issue, a covid related issue; who knows. This just isn't the first wonky thing that's gone down while we're trying to play at IUPUI, and they don't own the arena. Correlation is not causation, but if IUPUI owned the arena, maybe they'd have this situation in control, and very possibly not. Who knows. I doubt we'll get word, but maybe in the post-game someone will spill the beans.

IUPUI gonna IUPUI. Ridiculous this game is being played in the early afternoon on a weekday. Any league that has IUPUI in it is a league we need to get out of. The HL used to be a league I was proud of, but it has become an absolute joke, NKU, IUPUI, IPFW, Oakland, the list goes on and on.... I realize that it is a heck of a lot easier to get "in" the HL than to get "out" of the HL, but man, the HL is just awful.

It would be nice to further cement the stronghold of the Chicago market. Who needs a team that has made the Final Four and won a title (Loyola) when you can have Chicago State! For today I hope the delay doesn't mess things up for our team. A fast start without looking back is best case scenario.
