Still no schedule and that is unusual, but Ohio State has theirs out and #RaiderGang will be playing the Buckeyes in Columbus on March 22nd.
Last year the Buckeyes were 22-20 with an RPI of 102 which makes them a Quad 3 team. Hopefully, the Buckeyes will be a little better this year.

Big games to start the season. Michigan, OSU, UC all on the schedule
Tough run in late April and early May with back to back doubleheaders.

The 2022 Baseball schedule is solid, and I think the best home series this year is Indiana State. I have a friend that played for them and coached there. We both agreed that a series between the Sycamores and Raiders would be great for both schools. He said he doubted that his school would schedule WSU because they are not a "big name" opponent. I guess the Raiders are now a "big enough name." The only thing the schedule lacks is a couple of Top 20 opponents. Also notice that Dayton improved, and they are now back on the schedule.
Finally, all of the teams the Raiders play in three game series are Quad one or two except for Bradley.

Baseball America has their Top 25 out and only one Big 10 team made the Top 25. Nebraska checked in at number 20. If you remember they finished one spot ahead of our #RaiderGang in the final RPI rating last year (32/33). My guess is if Wright State competed in baseball in the Big 10, they would be in the top two or three teams. The amazing thing is that Nebraska and most of the Big 10 teams recruit nationally. Nebraska is bringing in some absolute studs. Wright State has doubled down on recruiting Ohio. Wright State's reputation is good enough to get a lot of the better high school players from Ohio. It is amazing that #RaiderGang goes to toe to toe with national programs that get highly ranked players. Baseball America has the Raiders first two opponents ranked a little lower than other rankings with Georgia Tech at #19 and Oklahoma State at #21. The other ACC school on the schedule is Virginia Tech and they are not ranked. Based on last year's records Indiana State is probably better than Virginia Tech. Based upon this year's ranking the Raider schedule is not as tough at the top end but has a lot of solid opponents sprinkled in throughout the season. As usual it will be another exciting year of baseball for our #RaiderGang and it starts in less than three weeks. One thing I did notice is that Wright State is not getting many players out of Cincinnati, which is probably the highest concentration of good players in the state.
