As much as our offense is struggling its our defense that is hurting more in my opinion. We look undersized and weak out there.

GW is playing above the rim and we have no answers. One positive is that AJ Braun looks calm and poised out there for a true freshman in his first game.

Frankly doesn't look like a team built to compete in Division 1 basketball. Would be a good Division II team where they didn't have play against big tall and athletic players.

GW shooting percentages by game:
St. Francis (PA) 37% Maryland 41% UCSD 36% Cal State Fullerton 37% UMass Lowell 32%
Against us, 47.5 there highest of the year. GW is NOT a good offensive team. This team has problems defensively.

Sounds like someone needs to have the infamous "Loudon Love isn't walking through that door into the locker room" speech.

just returned from Naples. traffic on 75 north was a nightmare. raider crowd was great and much larger than gw crowd. a couple of thoughts. first, gw players were bigger, stronger, more athletic than the raiders. and they were just more “grown up”. looking at the review on them they have a number of transfers in to the program. on a real down note, the preseason review of the a10 pegged them in the bottom half of the league. so they are by no means an a-10 powerhouse.
second, not sure of our coach’s opinion of this, but if we want to compete we need to jump into the transfer portal with both feet. our young inexperienced players are going to struggle against teams who have brought in several 3rd or 4th year players. just like we did today.
lastly, I was caught by surprise when I got to the gym and saw the tickets were $25. that was for the whole day, four games I think, but if you only were there to see the raiders it was a pretty expensive date. but it was good to see cigar boy, roadtrip , papa raider and a number of other raider fans. also brought to mind a number of the old traveling fans who are no longer with us.

On paper we have four players that were starters that have experience coming into this year. This team should not be struggling this much. I hope Coach Nagy can get this ship righted sooner rather than later.

Struggles from 3 continue, but rebounds are helping so far.
