I wish this game was later in the season because we aren't hitting on all cylinders yet. Cleveland State plays really aggressive/physical defense seeing how much contact they can get away with the refs. They play 10+ guys so they aren't concerned about picking up fouls. They do the same thing on offense driving to the bucket as aggressively as they can trying to create contact and pick up fouls to get to the FT line. We've struggled with their aggressive style of play last year in game one and lost. If we get bullied around today and start settling for outside shots we are going to be in trouble. We just aren't a good 3 point shooting team when we rely on that to be our main offense. We need to stick with our game plan and get the ball inside to our bigs and play as aggressive as them.

Today's a big game for both CSU and WSU. Today is a great opportunity for Wright State to put that 5 game losing streak behind us and get this season back on track. I really really hope we rise to the challenge today.

CSU has made 3 layups and a dunk, yet we lead 10-8 at the under 16. Viking guards are getting into the lane with ease. Gotta tighten up the screws defensively somehow..

If finke can stop shooting that would help. Grant passed up a three which is more than welcomed. Wilbourn first off the bench too.

This has been tough to watch so far. For some reason Cleveland St gets to me more than any other team in the Horizon.

It seems like we have the better players, but they just can’t do anything against Cleveland St. Gates is a pretty good coach.

We look like a middle of the pack team Nope we look like we have middle of the pack coach that doesn't know how to make adjustments. I laid out exactly what Cleveland State was going to do today. All we needed to do was play a zone and pack in the middle to stop their dribble penetration. We have stuck with the man to man and are getting our asses handed to us. |
