We are seeing the difference between a good coach and a great coach. A great coach makes decisions during the game to attempt to change things. A good coach makes decisions if forced to.

I only saw the second half. If we took 25 shots we may have taken 6 or 7 good shots, where the shooter was squared up to the hoop and going straight up for the shot. Most were off balance, falling away or on the run. Just a very poor offensive effort.

At the 2nd half, 11 minute mark...up by 10ish...we started our usual fall-apart routine. I looked at my daughter and said "Here we go again...watch Nagy not make another sub the rest of the game". Whaddauknow? Shocker?
What possible practice scenario EVER even remotely showed that we should have Wilbourne as our only big on the floor? Do we not have ONE asst coach who has the ability to tell Nagy that that is about the dumbest thing they've seen since Billy Donlon?
How does Braun start the game and 2nd half only to play < 10 minutes a game most nights? While ^ see above.
What scouting report suggested that Basile should play the 2 rather than the 5? Again.
There is entirely too much stubbornness and "principle-of-the-matter" coaching going on with a team that has as much overall experience as we do. If this group isn't 'getting it' (especially this far into the season) it's because they CAN'T DO IT. Doing the same thing over and over isn't working.
Our slim window for the Reg Season Championship just flushed down the drain. The only meaningful goal now is a top 4 HL finish and the HL Tourney. This would be a great time to give Braun, Welage and Norris some significant run to gauge what we have with them for next year AND to finally give the starters some rest - actually to NOT wear them out completely.
Nagy - unlike Donlon - is entirely too good of a coach for his team to continue to play like this.

Nagy is more, “ I won’t play Manns” than let’s see if he can give offense a boost for the team.
