There's a very small sample size due to Covid cancelations, but Detroit is 6-0 at Calihan this season. We won by 31 earlier this year by bottling up Davis. More importantly, the Detroit game was one of our best offensive games of the season. 58% from the field, 47% from 3, and most telling, 29 from Basile. Detroit had no answer for Grant under the basket going 12-15 from 2 and 5-6 from the line.
All that to say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Lets ride our stud, force someone besides Davis to beat us and I like our odds.

Interesting officials assigned today. Courtney Green, John Floyd, and Alfred Smith. All regulars in the big10 among other power 5 conferences. None of the "usual suspect" greener guys today.
Detroit is protecting the nations 13th longest home winning streak. With this matchup bringing up some physical play in the past, it appears the league has opted for a noticeably more veteran crew than usual.

Offense hasn't scored yet. We've got a lucky put back on a bad shot and a fast break dunk. But zero on the set offense. Struggling against the zone, per usual.

Looks like the same team we saw in Milwaukee. Playing down to inferior teams on the road. I know they have Waterman back, but he's not the reason we're getting our butts kicked so far.

4-13 vs 9-13 so far. Rough start. Seems like some games we can figure out what to do on offense against a zone, others we completely forget what to do.

So happy we have the “always stellar quality” Detroit broadcast to watch… 😶

If Norris is going to keep getting these many minutes he needs to start taking more shots. Can't just pass the ball when he is open for 3.

Tim Finke is becoming the king of leaving shots short. Put a little arc on the ball and maybe some of these would fall.

I have an idea. How about we start defending them from 3. If you let them have wide open looks they are going to make them.

Finke needs to contribute on offense. Really hope he gets it together next year.
