The big takeaway with the schedule for me is that we finish with 4 straight road games against teams 1,2,5,& 6 from last year's final rankings. No walk in the park. Also no game on Super Bowl Sunday or NCAA football championship night. Big home games against Oakland on a Friday night, CSU on a Saturday, and NKU on a Friday night (senior night) (good chance those Friday night games get that 7p or 9p ESPN2/U slot) for whatever ESPN calls their Horizon League Friday feature. NKU road game is on a Thursday when there's on students. Also a big win. But if we're not walking out of senior night well positioned for the seed we want, it's a tough road ahead. We could easily lose our last 4 games. I’m not sure we are still a travel partner with NKU. We aren’t play the same two teams as they are on the road. I may be looking at it wrong. NKU is still our travel partner. The HL continues the travel partner model with all school outside of IUPUI. IUPUI will play the week everyone has their game with their travel partner, i.e. when WSU plays NKU they play IUPUI, when Milwaukee plays Green Bay they also play IUPUI. Not perfect but saves multiple trips to WI for everyone else.

Isn't it kind of late in the year not to have the full schedule released? I like the Miami game, WSU should always continue that series. I wonder why we can't play Ohio U home and home, I'm assuming they aren't up for that game for whatever reason. No MVC teams on the schedule it looks like? It'd be nice to maybe see an Atlantic 10 team occasionally. Nagy great coach, Bob Grant great AD I think, but sometimes the Men's basketball schedule is a little underwhelming I think.

Has anyone heard any rumors regarding when the nonconference schedule will be released? Trying to plan some travel but was trying to wait until the schedule was released to ensure I can make it to the home nonconference games and some of the away nonconference games as well. Hopefully it will be released soon as about half of D1 teams have now released their nonconference schedules. Go Raiders!

Total guesswork on my part, but last year we had 6 OOC non-MTE games, 2 P5 road buys, 2 H/H home games, 1H/H road game, and 1 home buy game. So far this year, we've only got 5 games: 3 H/H road games, 1 road buy, and 1 H/H home game. I imagine they are putting some serious work into getting one more home game as the home OOC schedule is literally just BGSU right now. There is a full week between our last MTE game and our conference opener on 12/1. My guess is they're either working on a late H/H to start at the Nutter, or will be plugging in one of the local teams for a tune-up before we see Robert Morris, and the longer it takes, the more it would seem likely that we see a Central State, Cedarville, Findlay, Tiffin, etc. added in that week.
11/15 vs. Bowling Green 11/21-24 MTE with Weber St. Abilene Christian, UC-Riverside 12/10 @ Western Kentucky 12/15 @ Akron 12/22 @ Miami OH
@ Louisville TBD (possibly 11/11, 11/12, 11/17, or 1st week of December)

My guess is the schedule is being released I really hope you are right and they were able to add a quality home game to the schedule. I don't want to see a bunch of D2 schools on the schedule.

I don't think anyone saw Davidson coming to the Nutter.
Defiance is D3, and Northwest OH is NAIA.
Nice to see the MTE game order resolved as well.

I’m disappointed with 2 non-D1 games, especially without either of them being the home opener, but getting A program like Davidson to play in the Nutter Center makes up for it. Those first 3 games will be tough. I hope this team is ready for it.

I would have preferred that both non-D1 games would have been at the start of the season to be tune ups for the season OR both in December when students are on break. It's hard to get students to come out for no name programs on the schedule.

Well beer, you got your wish. Not a div ii game in sight. lol!! we have outdone ourselves with a div iii and naia . Not sure we have ever put that combo on a year’s schedule. It is almost as if we do not have confidence that our guys, our team, can handle a full schedule of real competitive teams, we need a couple of sure wins. I think it also takes advantage of the fans who are season ticket holders by foisting these “exhibition games” onto our schedule.
