I'm surprised there wasn't more talk about this article. Trey explicitly said he's planning on using his covid season and coming back to Wright State next year. Was that common knowledge? Hadn't heard anyone mention that. That changes the dynamic of who are guards will be next year to go along with a strong front court.

Whoa, glad you pointed that out, I didn’t read this one before you mentioned it. That would be great.

Rewatching the first half of the UWM game...Alex and Andrew are much more athletic than the stories on the team this year have let on.Andrews first 3 in that UWM was an awesome shot...took a pass as he going to his left in the corner and made a contested 3. They not only make shots but they make contested shots. Even when they miss the ball looks good coming out and it doesn't miss by much. Even if YSU wins Nagy needs to stick to this lineup the rest of the year if the team has any shot at a HL tourney title. Also I hope Wilborn and Sisley combine for at least 10 minutes a game to take some of the burden of Noel...

Sisley definitely needs to improve his defense and FT shooting to earn more playing time. I had good seats at the NKU game and he played a few minutes. His defense was pretty rough and coach took him out. Wilbourn has played like 8 minutes this entire year so counting on him for anything is a big ask. I hope he's healthy and good enough to play a few meaningful minutes each game. Watching him in garbage time on Saturday wasn't encouraging other than he was actually on the court. Really curious if this team can get hot in February. We are going to learn a lot these next 2 weeks.

I like Nagy a lot...he's a good man and a very good coach...but someone should have mentioned this to him six weeks ago regarding playing more of Alex and Andrew:
“As I watched the game, it dawned on me: This makes us harder to guard,” he said.
That has been obvious for a long time now.
Sisley has been a beast lately. He bullies guys in the lane...and he can score. Braun simply gets the job done and puts the ball in the hoop. Noel is crazy-athletic and - I think - still a little rusty after two years off. I would be hard-pressed to not have 2 of those 3 on the court at all times. I wouldn't play Wilbourne unless we need a big guy who can shoot free throws late in the game...otherwise, he shouldn't ever play above those ^ three in a tight game.
Calvin about 17 minutes a half...Norris with 3 minutes a half to give Calvin a rest. Two 6' guards on the court together with one being over-matched defensively and limited offensively is not a good recipe.
Andrew, Alex and Tim with the bulk of the 80 minutes remaining. If we MUST play 4 guards...it's only with those 3 plus Calvin.
That's 8 guys plus Davis. We can do a lot in the HL with those guys.
