Trey and Amari returning? Obviously in this new era of college basketball, Trey has a great chance of following Grant and Tanner's lead, but I'm still surprised. Here's hoping they are both back next year in the green and gold.

I think Tanner may be second guessing his decision. Davis has played better in last two games and feel he has earned more PT.

I haven't watched all that many OSU games, but the times I have, it seems Tanner kind of stands around the perimeter waiting on someone to pass to him...not as much of a slasher/scorer as he was here at WSU.

I’m excited at the prospect of Trey and Amari returning, but is there a potential scholarship issue? I believe all scholarships are being used this season. Finke, Neff, and Wilbourn will be gone, but there will be 3 new freshmen. That evens out, but, if I’m remembering correctly, Alex Garcia is currently paying his own way and was planned to have a scholarship in the future. Am I remembering incorrectly, or would this be over the limit unless someone transfers/moves on?

Trey, at his current scoring clip, will pass Tanner and then Seth Daliboa for 8th all time in WSU scoring this year. If he comes back next year, he will pass Dashuan Wood for 2nd all in the WSU record book. Depending on how many HL tourney games he plays, he has a shot at passing Sean Hammonds for 7th all time this year.

Although Davis has struggled this year, the talent is clearly there and I would want him back. As for Trey, I'd be shocked if he came back. He is phenomenal and looks like a mini Steph Curry. The coaching staff needs to do everything possible to keep him. And Andrew and Noel. As fans can we do anything for the NIL? We need to chip in and have something go to Calvin. The best thing in our favor regarding transfers is that it has not worked out for Horizon League players outside of Basile and Davis. Maybe Davis talking to Calvin about transferring is in our favor too.

Maybe Davis talking to Calvin about transferring is in our favor too. The speculation about who might leave is such a drag and it's always in the back of my mind as the season progresses. Definitely detracts from the enjoyment. Basile has played well but Virginia Tech (and Ohio State) are likely not making the tournament. It will come down to what the individual player wants. Want more playing time and not good enough? They will go to division 2. Good enough and they want to move up? They will head to a Power 5 school. Want more playing time and aren't terrible? They will end up somewhere else in Division 1. It will be interesting to see how things go in the coming years but now more than ever I am worried anytime a player is really good or not getting enough playing time then he will transfer. Heading into next year I am most concerned about losing Trey, Noel and Welage. If all 3 come back then our team will be solid next year. We could lose others but losing any of our top 3 would hurt the most.

I think, if everyone returns we should be playing 10 players with significant PT. I can see the PT of Norris being reduced because of the freshmen, this year waiting. I hope most will see that sometimes “moving up” may not be the best thing to do.
